Yes all You need is a good set of tools. A nice bag to carry them in 😂 and plenty of knowledge. But I agree, I have seen many bush crafters with ridiculous amounts of gear that serves very little purpose

Oh completely agreed!

For a smaller, indestructible alternative you can fit Brit 58 pattern kidney pouches to a 3 row molle belt. The metal tabs just about fit through if the molle is standard size. Silverman's still have the rare nylon type if you don't want cotton. A much bigger alternative are plce respirator pouches. The modern respirator pouches are unnecessarily heavy.

I use the Helikon belt kit similar set up but the yoke was not great so swapped it for an airborn webbing yoke and it’s great

I've got three of those bags, and they are very well designed and put together. But, I wish it had some kind of way to attach a yoke/suspenders. That would make it ride easier. I will have to tinker around I think. Take care and stay sharp. It is not very water proof. So you should store your electronics in ziplock bags. Since they are clear, easy to see what is inside them, plus they don't weigh much and are fairly cheap. That's how I handle the problem.

That's a clone of the Maxpedition Sabercat, now discontinued. A good alternative, is the Helikon-Tex Foxtrot II. I use one with a couple of pouches on the MOLLE grid attached to the belt, it's great for a jaunt into the woods for the day. The Velcro pocket on the back is to stow the belt, so you can use it with a shoulder strap as a satchel, or if you've got it connected to a plate carrier with the MOLLE.

Hi m8 cool video, I got the snugpak version bit less extras on it but the slot at the back is to fold the belt system into when you use it as a grab bag 👍

@@Nofixedabode859 arr very nice mate thank you and that's cool I didn't know snug did one I will have a look at it 🙏

Yeah they were only £30 when I brought it few years ago but no molle like yours and the original design was by maxpedition and much better quality than the snugpak but good bit kit gets all ya small stuff together, I rock the sabre 45l plus mod rocket pouches like yourself more than big enough for winter, tried many other systems but always go back to it lol

£20 sorry

P.S. Instead of the wool blanket. I will use the US GI Poncho and liner. Should fit nicely. That "Pocket" on the back, is so you can stash the waist belt, if your going to just use the shoulder strap. Or if you strap the pack to another bag. Just keeps it out of the way.

@@daviecoats2080 It's the Sabercat, highly sought after these days. I've got one in khaki. It really needs shoulder straps, though, when it's loaded.

Those two straps you don't know what there for . There for strapping a blanket role wrapped inside a tarp for waterproofing it can also be used to put a warm coat or wet proof on when you get too hot or it's stopped raining but there's still a possibility of rain do not cut them off . Me I would put a ready tarp with ridge line and a hammock and a small ground tarp rolled up and placed across the top with the handle over the top incase I need to take off a jacket or fleece
