Guns N' Roses - "The Spaghetti Incident?" (1993)
"Look At Your Game, Girl" - C. Manson Acoustic Cover
There's a time for living
Time keeps on flying
Think you're loving baby
But all your doing is crying
Can you feel
Are those feelings real
Look at your game, girl
Look at your game, girl
What a mad delusion
Living in that confusion
Frustration and doubt
Can you ever live without the game
The sad, sad game
Mad game
Just to say loves' not enough
If it can't be true
Oh, you can tell those lies baby but you're only fooling you
Can you feel
I know those feelings ain't real
Then you better stop trying
Or you're gonna play crying
Stop trying
Or you're gonna play crying
Stop trying
That's the game
Sad sad game
Mad game
Sad game

@@XxAlliexMariexX y'know you're right I don't think it's the song that's haunting but the darkness of the obvious memory attached. About all that there was alot if biker involvment at the time but I think what he was actually guilty of was a robbery turned killing by a muscian who served for it and a biker. Alot of dope was supplied to hollywood from people in one of these houses so this would have opened many pandiara boxes all around. Jim Morrison lived above the biker club, Mama Cass is said to have arrived at the scene that morning for dope then fled when she seen so Jim dies, Mama Cass dies, maybe coïncidence?

Stacey E. Lemmon: The source isn't all the bad he's made out to be. He never got his fair day in court. He himself killed nobody. He went to the Tate crime-scene AFTER Tex Watkins and Susan Atkins had done the deed and slaughtered everybody. Manson did this in order to cover up finger prints. He was helping his friends cover up evidence after the fact. So in doing this, his highest crime would be "ACCESSORY to murder". This would have carried about a ten-year prison sentence. Then he would have been out. He didn't deserve life in prison. There's no proof that he ordered any of the killings. FREE MANSON. \¡/ATWA-ATWAR\¡/

There's people who testified to what Manson instructed that group to do on August 9th, so don't come up with that free Manson bullshit. He, himself, said prison was more of a home to him than anywhere else, so now he's finally home and that's one less nut job on the streets.

I didn't mean to raise any eyebrows, but I ended up doing so anyway by accident when after hearing this song on this album it instantly inspired a lyric (I write lyrics to existing music for my cartoons) which I wrote down and used. I simply credited it as "written 2 the tune of the secret song on the Guns N Roses album 'The Spaghetti Incident?'." Those who DID know about the original song's background jumped all over me and told me I was supposedly sick in the head for using it as the inspiration for a lyric. I simply told them, "Look, I don't care about the jerk who wrote it, I could care less. The only thing that matters to me is that when I heard it it was a great piece of music that gave me an idea for a lyric I liked, and that's that. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that, and certainly there was absolutely nothing wrong with what I wrote to the tune of it."

from 1:39 and onwards, axel sounds awful. He wanted to recreate those pauses Charles does, and the fact is that Manson wasn't pausing or necesarily stretching the notes for the song's sake. This is basically a super faithful cover of the original, adding only percussion and Axl's distinctive voice. I really don't think Manson's original recording was eerie or spooky - its a beautiful and jazzy pop tune, and GNR highlighted this to great effect. Any spookiness the original has is only because of Manson's later actions.

Fun Fact: He had that happen more than once. In 1966, he showcased a song to the Beach Boys, and they promised him a music career which he never got. The song was called "Cease to Exist". The Beach Boys changed it ever so slightly once Mr. Manson was behind bars and released the song as "Never Learn Not To Love" in 1971.

I thought he said ".... Ahhhh thanks Jazz..... (then clicks his fingers and quickly says) JACK!" I don't know anything more. And maybe I got it wrong because of accent tones.

I really like this version. I thought it was close to the original version by Charles Manson.

Tempo is too slow and whoever is playing guitar (Slash? Axl?) is just too comfortable with it. Manson's original was gritty and full of pain. This sounds like they were sitting around the studio enjoying cigars and brandy.

This is a Charles Manson song are they even allowed to do this song? Isn’t that copyright infringement?

@@scottstots7238 Absolutely: Charlie's original is much better. You were correct, as well, that Charlie was past being locked up; he had died. And here is this song of his being discussed still, suggesting that he achieved a little bit of fame after all.
