Today we are participating in the Look for Less challenge hosted by Yami over at @The Latina Next Door . Yami challenges other creators to find a piece they love in the stores or online and try to recreate it at a fraction of the cost. We love making dupes of our favorite items so this one is right up our alley. Today we will be working with one of my favorite art forms: Mixed Media. We are going to recreate a piece I found on Houzz.com. I hope you will join us and just have some fun!

OH wow 😳. I 💕 that. It's so comical to me that this has been around for years, but it feels so recent 😁. My mom and I used to do things like this back in the 80s, (1980's that is🤣)... I needs this! I want to make my step mom a Mother's Day gift. She's so special to me! After .y mom died, my dad was so lost. She and Dad reconnected after Mom passed. She had lost her husband the year before Mom passed Long story short, they found each other cell in love a d most importantly, Dad started to smile and enjoy life again. We just lost Dad last September. So, she's alone now. They were in the nursing home together when he passed. He was so lucky to have found love twice in a life time. Was with mom 27 years and with my step mom 26. So, she means the world to me! Thanks for listening to my rant.💖💖

Oh Denise, what a beautiful story. I am so sorry you lost your father. I lost mine in 1999, he was only 55. I still miss him so much. My mom loves at nursing home so I know it means a lot to your step mom that you are still there for her. Thank you so much for watching 😊❤

This was so awesome! I learnt so much! The stamps is something im not familiar with so what is the best way to get started with them? I hear the holtz name alot but isnt that exspensive? That block you was using where would i find one of them? And last but not least.. is black and brown the two main colors to get? I know like my teachers use to stamp stuff in grade school but in red mostly i believe. Thanks yall! Love n prayers always! Yall are such a big blessn to me! 🥰

Stamping can be really expensive. I don't buy stamps or ink or anything unless it is on sale. Hobby Lobby puts their inks and stamps on sale every other week. I just started slowly and picked up one two each month. I got my acrylic block at JoAnn Fabrics. They run really good sales on their stamping stuff too and if younsign up with them they send out coupons every so often for 20 ton25 percent off your whole order even if it is on sale. That was when I got mine. All of my family and friends know that I love crafting supplies so I have gotten some stamps from Amazon or as gifts and now even Dollar Tree has some. I also find stamps at thrift stores sometimes too. I started with black and brown because I tend to go in that direction most of the time. To add some color ink to my stash I did buy a variety pack of small inks on Amazon for like $13. Thanks for watching Bridgett 😊❤

This is a project i can do if i prepared my paper before hand i could rip n stamp my heart out anywheres. Thx for doing a video slowed down and teaching.. gonna take me far cousin!
