Have you tried the mud-flap rectangles on your impeller to squeegee the snow out of the chute? It's a major game changer.

Keep in mind I'm making this up as I go along, but here goes. Any ride on tractor will probably have sufficient hp to run a snow thrower since the impeller and auger are both powered from a drive belt hooked to the same pulley that powers the mower blades. There is a reduction pulley system that hooks up under the tractor so essentially you could change the pulley size and therefore the reduction ratio to power through just about anything. Naturally a lower gear wouldn't throw the snow as far, but it would still toss it further than you could with a snow shovel ;-) Now that you've digested the easy part, in my opinion you may find it's more of a challenge to find a snow thrower that will fit your tractor frame. Mine is made by Craftsman for the Craftsman model tractor I have and that was a 6 hour ordeal the first time I put it on. Between fitting holes, mounting brackets, and belt tensions it was challenging enough to get something to fit that was made to fit. Getting something to work with your tractor that was made for another model would take a good deal more mechanical ingenuity. However, once I got it to fit, I could get the triple bagger and lawnmower deck off and the wheel weights, chains, reduction gear box and thrower attachment put on in about an hour. Granted, as soon as I get all the leaves off the lawns, I wait for the next 50+ degree day and turn the mower into a snow blower. Doing it in the garage when it's 23 degrees takes a LOT longer ;-) I hope that all helps!

@@CampingDad247 - 8HP or more! We have an old John Deere 70 with a Single Stage Blower on it, it's working fine! So anything over 8HP would do also depend on how big the blower is too. Our is a 42" Single Stage.... Old as hell, but still working!

I have a 24hp Craftsman lawn tractor with a 42in blower attachment.... had it now for more than 9 years and it works awesome ... and let me tell you in Newfoundland we get'a lot'a snow... only thing is I had to add chains on the back wheels and weights to the back of the tractor

Actually funny thing is that I'm filming in my elderly neighbors driveway blowing it across the street into my yard. Are you still sure you don't want to be neighbors?
