How to disassembly & assembly this passive 4 driver home audio speakers. For bass driver they use two BR411-6C, bass/mid bass range use BR207-6P speaker driver and TBR 025 C-CAM tweeter. They new cost around $600-700 for pair. Second hand about $300. These are good sounding speakers, for good second hand price tag. Nice speakers. But the port looks cheap. Was expecting a flared port. That port would easy get noisy. Small diameter non flared ports can be noisy.

не одно и тоже. лучше BR6 они полные 3 полосы, BX6 2,5 полосы. разное сопротивление, BX6 легче что тоже плохо для колонок.

I have noticed that the installation of loudspeakers into the boxes is done with bolt fastener connectors in expensive speakers. I can not see them even here. I have seen them in Harbeth, JBL L100 Classic for example.

Interesting video, clearly Monitor Audio are extremely high quality loudspeakers. Always enjoy videos like this and hope to see more, but if you do any more it would be a good idea to record without sound , the noise being played to accompany the video is painful.

İ don't know how many time I watched this but man you are brave to take this apart and touch all the cons!! I never able to do that! and it's good to know that they are using midrange as main woofer too! so the other woofers will handle just low frequencies in another box. look they combined a two way speaker with a sub woofer! Cross over circuit is just a shame for such a speaker and as I saw they used iron core for the midrange too! and I didn't see another crossover for tweeter and if it's only one crossover for whole speaker then ... sigh !!!

Я простой человек и колонки дороже 100долларов у меня еще не было, но я слышал как играли колонки этой фирмы в магазине только более дорогих моделей если не ошибаюсь серии silver, цвета красного дерева, и честно говоря у меня челюсть повисла а уши пархали как у слона от удовольствия. Сначала понять не мог от куда звук идёт хоть и стоял прям перед ними по ощущениям мне казалось что колонки пели лучше солистки исполнявшей собственную песню. В общем мне интересно ваше мнение более опытного человека, на сколько они хороши или на оборот? В целом спасибо за видео!👍

за 100 дол. можно советские купить, грамотно выбирая, чтоб не ковыренные были, и будут не хуже по звучанию. А в этом ролике не такие уж и дорогие экземпляры. Но в виде колон вариант спорный. Не каждый может поместить такие в комнате, отдав площадь на полу под колонки. Да и не защищённые мет. решёткой динамики не допускают нахождения детей рядом.

What is the rear top bass reflex for? Is there a tunnel leading to it from the centre or bottom of the cabinet? A bass reflex behind a tweeter doesnt make sense, or am I wrong? Thanks for helpful video.

the mid driver works in a separate acoustic volume, and that rear bass reflex port is for the mid driver enclosure tuning.

Thanks for the video. Greatly appreciated. I was seriously considering purchasing nothing but Silver 100 bookshelf speakers for all of the channels in my home theater/music listening room. However after seeing how cheaply made this speaker is, I’m having very serious doubts about buying anything made by Monitor Audio. I realize this is their entry level speaker, but I’d have to see a drastic improvement between the Bronze and the Silver before I’d consider them now. Plastic baskets!!! Really?! A tweeter that looks like it wouldn’t last more than a few seconds if you turned up the volume. Wiring that looks like it came off the reject spool. Wow! My opinion of Monitor Audio has definitely changed. Even though this is their least expensive model I expected a lot better. Thanks again for the video, and saving me a lot of money!

A plastic basket is non-resonant and sturdy, it is NOT a bad thing ! Moreover, I have Bronze BX2 speakers which are still working even after throwing some parties (paired with a Yamaha A-S500) and the tweeters are still alive, same for the boomers ! Don't say crap about things you don't know/don't own !

@@Subway2400 Funny how old posts get resurrected months later. Yeah that's why some drivers are now bolted to the rear panel to decouple them from the front baffle. Plastic shouldn't be used in any speaker.

​@@fuckinellitsraymo Bolting the magnet from the back of the cabinet creates a tension stress on the basket, so it's not the reason why it is bolted at the back. I agree that the basket is a bit thin on the speakers shown in this video, but on more recent MA speakers it is much more sturdy. Here is an example on a 8" driver : 6moons.com/audioreviews/monitoraudio/7.jpg - It is the same on the Bronze Series since the BX generation. It's just impossible to say that plastic is not good for a speaker basket, without having factual data. Otherwise it is just judging appearances.

@@Techscrews I do, I have old Gale 4i and I drill up the center of the Tweeter, put a long pipe goes all the back of the speakerbox. The Tweeter sound goes out at the back. Sound so much better. The tweeter sound much less stressful. Better separation in the sound stage. Same problem with Carlsson speakers. The old peerless dome tweeter I never liked. Because also has no cavity behind the membrane. Thanks anyway showing us how speaker looks inside
