Funny thing, I’ve been coaching boxing for 35 years and most people look ok to good on the heavy bag. Then when sparring they look terrible. 😊

Damn. How fluid. Im noticing that im acenting too much on my heavy bag work. Can you make a video in the future about how much we have to comit on the heavy bag?
@PrecisionBoxing4 күн бұрын
Good idea! For now it depends on your intent. You don't need every shot to be full power. Good speed and 75% power are effective. Focus on speed and fluidity.

Hey coach, would you consider making a video on proper nutrition for boxing? I think I remember seeing an old video you did, but it'd be cool to see another one, that explains what food is good to eat before training, what to eat for recovery, stuff like that. Or any supplements you'd recommend taking, if any. Thanks again!
@PrecisionBoxing11 күн бұрын
I really appreciate your comment. I might make a video on the diet that works best for me. But I can't say for sure that it's the best nutrition. I haven't studied nutrition enough to say that I know. Plus everybody is an 'expert' already lol. But it's definitely a good idea.
@josh121212111 күн бұрын
@@PrecisionBoxing I've always struggled with what to eat before going to the gym so I was just wondering what works best for you, cause sometimes I feel I don't eat enough thats why I lack energy during training. Thanks again!

Hey coach, I've been told that I tend to lean forward while boxing. Are there any drills that can help me maintain an upright posture
@PrecisionBoxing2 күн бұрын
Yes, these drills will help a lot, the main reason this happens is because the back leg is not strong enough in the neutral position so we tend to lean forwrad - kzbin.info/www/bejne/a5uroX6Ejbalmtk&lc=UgzKOiynjUKNw-TO_294AaABAg

@@PrecisionBoxingI don't know how you are able to bang on it while keeping it from swinging like crazy. I try to not push the punch but both my Rinside 100 lb and my upper 80 lb uppercut bag swing too much. Im considering buying the 125 lb or 175 lb banana style bag
