As much as I want to see hardleg start kicking ass, it’s the shitty pack openings with just 1 card that might be playable that make the series gritty and fun. When he’s finally gotten to a cohesive deck with meta cards and is giving out spankings, it’s those 30 minute, flood gate games that he had to grind through that’ll make it rewarding. But by then the journey will be on its final leg. I think it’s people who don’t like someone’s content that are more inclined to comment how they feel (which isn’t a bad thing, it’s just their opinion), whereas people who do just watch and move on or leave a comment about something else.
@Evan_Schaefering3 ай бұрын
I was surprised to see some people asking for the pack opening sections to be cut, or at least trimmed down. To me the best part of this sort of series is the methodical growth the deck sees, as well as the different streamers different deck building ideas. Cutting out the pack openings and deck theory parts makes the journey a lot less personal.
@oleezyc86093 ай бұрын
@@Evan_SchaeferingI agree. The whole point of trying to win these duels is the packs. Sure most cards may be nonsense, but that makes getting a good one feel like winning the lottery- increasing the hope meter by just a bit. So every flip reveal starts to feel fated and adds to the story

You know what would be a neat idea, a masochist style challenge where when you win you can add a card used by your opponent to your deck, and to be clear, it needs to be used in the duel, not just in the deck. It would be easier but I think it would make progress easier and then there would be a real incentive to play out matches vs good decks.

I believe what many people might not put to account for, that dense content with the best battles and only the pulls that have notable cards(either for bolstering the deck or utter jank for the laughs), the content will fetch hardleg more audience that follows a series through. The problem with the content of this series mainly is being too bloated with mediocre battles. Why not give it a try at least for a couple of episodes to see if it makes any difference.

Isn't Dragonic Tactics almost a strictly better Flamberge in this deck? Your plan is already to tribute two and use your normal summon for Flamberge, whereas that spell lets you tribute two without using your normal - so you could use your normal to put the second monster on board, for example. I don't see how Flamberge can be worth a slot with Dragonic Tactics not being worth one too, unless I'm not paying enough attention to the number of non-dragons you're playing.
@Evan_Schaefering3 ай бұрын
You seem to be thinking of Flamberge solely as a Snake Eyes combo piece but it's also just a really strong tribute monster in a low power deck like this. In Snake Eyes it's generally used on your own stuff, as well as a tutor, but Flamberge can also perform its effect on your opponents monsters. It's effectively a strong piece of non-destruction removal and eventually a monster steal.
@delta32443 ай бұрын
@@Evan_Schaefering I didn't think it needed to be said explicitly, especially since Hardleg already pointed it out, but Flamberge is a level 8 dragon. Dragonic Tactics can be used to summon Flamberge. That is the use of Dragonic Tactics I was talking about in my comment.
@Evan_Schaefering3 ай бұрын
@@delta3244 Well when you say stuff like "isn't Card X almost strictly a better Card Y in this deck" instead of "wouldn't Card X work well with Card Y", it makes it sound like you think Card X should replace Card Y. On a reread, knowing your intended message, your comment made more sense but it is still worded in a confusing way in my opinion.
@delta32443 ай бұрын
@@Evan_Schaefering Perhaps I should've included a timestamp. I was responding directly to Hardleg's argument against the card, where he said "yes it summons Flamberge but...," when I said that. If read in that context, I think it's a lot clearer what I meant - outside of it, I agree with you.
