This clip is actually from 1975. The clip on President Ford and potential challengers Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan is your clue. If it had been Nov. 11, 1976 as you said, we would have already known that Jimmy Carter became President-Elect a few days earlier. If you based the year on the VW Sirocco commercial, remember that car companies release the upcoming model year's cars a few months before the actual model year. Actual airdate: Nov. 11, 1975
