As someone who works in the jewelry industry, if you want Maisy to be able to have that pearl necklace someday make it a special occasion necklace or just be extra careful. Pearls are one of the most delicate pieces that you can have in jewelry so take it off before bed, don't shower in it etc. Otherwise great choice with Tiffany & Co. They are synonymous with quality and luxury for a reason!

A pearl is formed out of a grain of sand wounding the inside of an oyster and irritating it which causes the oyster to secrete a natural substance to coat the grain until it transforms it into a pearl. Love that the meaning behind her name and how a pearl is formed can be compared to this seemingly slow process she went through. From her being so small and seemingly nothing happening for a while, here comes this precious, precious thing (your amazing daughter) and she's brighter and stronger than ever! Glad you picked that name and it fits her perfectly! ❤️

I had a teacher who had portraits done of his daughter every Christmas. Each year she wore the same pearl necklace in the photos, but he and his wife added a new pearl to the necklace each year. The idea is when she's 18 she'll have a full string of pearls.

Pearls are really sensitive to damage. The rule of thumb is always the last night you put on before going out and the first thing you take off. The nacre can be easily chipped or damaged. To preserve your pearls' radiance, avoid letting them come into contact with cosmetics, hair spray, or perfume. But especially because you fidget sometimes don't rub it between your fingers. Lotion is damaging as well.

Colleen I have watched your whole pregnancy and birth journey with the twins and I cried yesterday at the video of Maisie coming home, you and your families strength through this whole process is truly inspiring. I don’t normally comment but something amazing in today’s video really connected with me. I’m not sure how much you know about pearls but There are just some truly amazing facts about them that make your necklace choice just so much more special. Pearls are created when sand or debris gets into an oyster of muscles shell, this hurts the oyster so it coats the debris in a hard substance which is what forms the Pearl. So a Pearl is basically like an oysters kidney stone, all this might sound a bit weird but here’s the link. Pearls are created from pain they are something beautiful that comes from hurt and healing. they are something that have gotten me through a lot of hard times knowing that whatever pain I am going through I can turn into into something beautiful and long lasting. To me it is a symbol that pain isn’t eternal and healing is possible and they are a symbol of feminine strength as well. It’s just so perfect that you chose that precious little Pearl to hand down to Maisie and that it’s the meaning of her name because it just fits perfectly the strength that both of you have already shown on your journey together she will be a little fighter growing through any pain just like her mum. I don't have kids but I've heard really good things about Owlet which might be helpful for you to get for the twins. It's a little sock that will tell you their oxygen saturation and their heart rate and all that jazz. It might make you more stressed tbh but it could help so you're not worrying about them as much and give you some peace of mind. I'm so happy Wesley and Maisy are home ❤️

as a twin- it’s quite different bc babies don’t just get separation anxiety from their parents, they get it from their twin as well! ofc as we grow older the anxiety lessens, but it’s definitely a beautiful thing :’)

I was thinking maybe he doesn't like hair in his face? Even with the headband (which is super cool btw!) some hair gets loose and maybe it tickles his forehead and he keeps wiping it away only for it to come back again. When my daughter was a toddler she couldn't stand hair in her face. We went through a headband phase as well

Colleen should discuss this with his doctor, if she hasn't already. It is repetitive (ocd) and quite frequent in just a short vlog over many vlogs. He wipes his mouth and forehead and his little lips look sore from the rubbing. I feel bad, Flynn is struggling with something and this is his way of self southing for himself. Just like Colleen's dermatillomania. My heart hurts for him.🙁
