Last month, I took a trip to Korea and Japan. Here are the tales of a few things we saw and a few pieces of crafting trash I was able to squirrel away into my luggage. In truth, I didn't get nearly as much garbage as I hoped I would. Our schedule was fast, jam-packed, and didn't include enough dumpster diving. My sincerest apologies for not spending more time in a trash can for you.
And a HUGE thanks to all the support from everyone on Patreon!

But instead of “regular” garbage it’s beautifully designed and colorful garbage 🙂 I bet it looked pretty in your suitcase, especially with all those colored plastic balls!

I used to take bunch of rocks with me from the seaside places. The foreign side inspection wasn't fond of it, they never are really since they always find the reason to hold you up and yell at you (political bias) while the home side inspection always let me though with zero questions. Usually one big bag of rocks that go into the trunk of the car. Years later I realized that I have "at home" same type of rocks just two towns over and these types of rocks have nothing to do with a seaside, they are not that unique, then a year later someone pointed me to an area which is maybe an hour drive from my home outside of the town that have same even better rocks, however it's illegal to excavate big amounts and if a military or police patrol catch you it can be nasty. So always took half a trunk if even that much at random times ... Never hoarded again these during my sea trips ever again or when I left my country.

Ah... the old "keep mindful of the luggage space" dilemma as you adventure your way through 2 countries collecting your souvenirs. At least you were able to cut some of the souvenirs down a bit without feeling like you might have ruined them. Also... thanks for showing some of the "not necessarily for tourist" things. Those are the places I like to seek out when we travel.

I lived in Japan(Yokosuka)when I was in 1st and 2nd grade and honestly even though I only lived there for 2 years it feels more like home than America ever has. Idk how to explain it but I get homesick whenever I think of my life there. I plan on moving to Japan or at least visiting often when I get older. If you ever need a cool place to visit Japan is that place!
