I pray that more born Muslim men see the example you are setting as a revert because you are practising and not just preaching proper principles of Islam. Many born Muslim men expect their women to cover up etc but they are quiet happily behaving and dressing in a non Islamic way. As a single Muslim practising woman i am finding it hard to find a man that actually practices Islam properly and not living in hypocrisy. I therefore decided to stay single but I live in hope and pray Allah will send me the right man Inshallah!!

The women who are working 9 to 5 are having to support their family because the men of Islam are useless and refuse to provide the fundamentals for their family. Believe me all the women I know would rather be at home if they had a choice but its either starve or suffer in silence. 70% of women in Islam are choosing to work because the way men have treated their mothers is too much to bear. I would rather be single and do 9 to 5 then be with a muslim man who cannot provide because he is selfish and chooses to ignore his responsibility as a provider in Islam while demanding the wife cooks and keeps a home with a budget to feed an ant!!! May I remind you that the Prophets wife was also working and it is permissible for a woman to work in Islam but again you are going to ignore those facts because then you are going to see your faults and have to change and that would be too much for men like you to do!!

Also, there is no compulsion in religion, so everyone is free to choose for themselves and live together in harmony. But as a Muslim, you get everything you need and that is all it matters. Also, you went to the wrong place to feel the deen as this part of Turkey is totally touristic and not true reflection of real Turkiye.

Life in Turkey is very stressful, fast and difficult, and there are many scammers. In Iraq, we live in big houses, not apartments, and we do not pay electricity and water bills because they are all free. The Turks did not actually encounter Islam through the Battle of Talas; they were introduced to Islam earlier, during the time of the Umayyads through the general Qutaybah. Due to the rigid and Arab-centered approach of the Umayyads, which glorified Arab lineage, the Turks did not convert to Islam and instead fought against them. After the Battle of Talas, however, contrary to popular belief, the Turks did not convert to Islam in large numbers, except for mercenaries and slave soldiers. As you may know from history lessons, the first Turkish state leader to officially embrace Islam was Almış Khan, the leader of the Volga Bulgars, in 922. This is also mentioned in the travelogue of Ibn Fadlan, who was sent by the Abbasid caliph to teach Islam and foster alliances (he also provides information about the Tengriist Oghuz Turks, who were subject to the Jewish Khazars at the time - it's definitely worth reading). Even though Almış Khan converted to Islam, his people did not immediately convert in large numbers. However, 12 years later, in 934, Satuk Buğra Khan, the leader of the Karakhanid state, along with his people, converted to Islam in large groups. The first Turkish Islamic state to be founded as a Muslim entity was the Ghaznavids. As for the Oghuz Turks, at the end of the 10th century, they split from the Oghuz Yabgu state under Seljuk Bey, along with the tribes loyal to him, and moved south to settle in the city of Cend. There, they allied with the Samanids, who were either Persian or Tajik, and through them, they learned about Islam and converted. This is why many of our religious terms, such as fasting, prophet, prayer, supplication, ablution, etc., have Persian roots. Afterward, as you know, we eventually moved into Anatolia and continued from there.

I recommend you to visit the Southeastern Turkish city Mardin, which had a few decades ago has a Christian majority whose people spoke and still speak in smaller numbers: Aramaic. It's a pity that many cities in Turkey went homogeneous so we mostly don't have the multireligious, multicultural environment left anymore. This shows more tolerance towards people's religious tradition is very important.

Why Türkiye is not known as a clean country? I think you’ve watched too much anti Turkish videos Jan. There are people who don’t behave in an appropriate way but generalizing is not the right thing to do. Türkiye is a large country with 85 million people. You can’t expect everyone and every place to be the same. The Europeans learned bathing from us for example. You should better know why the French people had invented the large hats, perfumes and high heels, shouldn’t you? I don’t think that I would hear you saying France is not known to be a clean country. At the last Olympics you know that all the contestants from all over the world have complained about how dirty was Paris and even the swimmers couldn’t compete because of the pollution in the River Seine. This is just a fresh example from Europe. I must admit that I’ve been disappointed. Enjoy the sun, the hospitality and the food but your comments really hurt bro, really hurt me as a Turkish person. By the way a small reminder, it is not Turkey, it is Türkiye. 🇹🇷

@@repla2992sorry bro i know Turkish ppl are very proud of Turkey bu I have been to Turkey many times before. No matter where I go there is a ton of trash. Why getting mad? ;) Even on islands or big cities and national parks. Also there are no recycle bins on streets much and so the trash just stays open. I just give honest review. It is from my experienxe I even showed this in my last years video.

@@jantheslovakmuslim there are trash on the streets yes. but it doesnt make us unhygenic. we 94% wash our hands after using the toilet unlike many european countries. there is a trash problem coming from the lack of discipline of the employers in the municipality ( the major is the biggest affect ). your country was probably no different than turkey 50 years ago. you are using the advantage of EU regulations. we dont have strict rules and uncorrupted polices like EU have.
@repla2992
@repla2992 Ай бұрын
@@jantheslovakmuslim I am definitely not mad but rather disappointed about you. I saw this bias before from a Bosnian American revert who tried to separate being a Muslim from being a Turk in the Balkans persistently. In his mind he is programmed and educated to think that Turks are evil. Apart from the dirt or trash you’ve seen on the streets, you might have been raised as anti Turkish (So anti Muslim) before you had reverted. Some Arabs are also fueling this hatred about Turks. But think about this, if we were evil, how did we allow Europeans who we ruled more than 400 years to practice their religion, speak their native language and get rich by trading? If we were a colonizing power we wouldn’t let it but we were Muslims so it was obligatory for us to do so and also protect the non Muslim citizens in our territories. As you know, Muslims had to pay the 2,5% of their income as zakat but the non Muslims only had to pay the 1% of their income as Jizya (Tax). The non Muslims also got the advantage of not being recruited in the army at war times. So they got richer and richer while all the Muslim men were fighting and dying for their country. Of course I am proud of my country and my heritage from the Ottoman Empire. You should be proud of yours either. But when you are expressing some of your thoughts I think you should not generalize a nation and country. As some brother who mentioned his thoughts in a comment above, the Europeans still don’t even clean their special parts after using the toilet. Who is more clean do you think now? Sometimes there is a thin line between criticizing and insulting. Assalamualeikum wa rahmatullah 👋🏻.

@@ac-go4np We do also condemn such people. But this is not the justification of calling a country “Which is not known to be very clean!”, am I not right? This is not a criticism sentence, it sounds like an insulting and generalizing one even the person didn’t mean that. I waited for a correction from Jan but he seems to be consistent on his comment. There are lots of other ways to criticize this inappropriate behavior.

The sad reality is that ever since 1850s, a lot of Muslim nations were colonized and the colonizers systematically destroyed Islamic institutions and norms. Although Turkey was not directly colonized, there were several infiltrations of westernized, European influenced elites on their politics. I'm sure most people know the dark events that happened once the caliphate was abolished and Turkey was turned into a secular republic. It's embarrassing the lengths these secular Turk politicians went to, to drain Islamic influence from their people. They even banned traditional Turkish hats at one point and demanded the people wear European style hats. Even hijab and beard got banned in many places. Even though, most Turks remained traditional Muslims, their elite and intellectual classes are predominantly secular, and they are the ones most dominantly represented in their politics, power, & media. Insha'Allah we pray that regardless of social class or level of education, all Turks embrace proper traditional Islam.
