@@florianleonhardt620 haha - awesome. Cherishing memories. My oldest daughter just turned 24 years old, but she will always be my baby girl. Same with my 16 years old daughter. Glad it was high stoke.

@@cantskate5535 My daughter just turned 11 =) she was the one who got me back on the board. "I wanna learn how to skate. you used to skate when you were young" ...when you were young..I´m 38 haha 🤣 she learns very fast too. Did her first successful standup heelside today (proud Dad =) . we both watch your videos !😉

My pleasure and all fun in learning. I think when asphalt is rubberized & super tacky, it makes dark thane? There is still some wear, but not clearly visible. I do have to say that these are the first wheels that I could feel the traction breaking which is huge for a noob like me. Gives me hope knowing that I’m sensing the board and the wheels. 🤘

Sick spots! You're great at finding spots! Btw, were you able to roll away for the slide at 3:56?

Thanks and enjoying the drive around for multiple hills. No, I was not able to roll away. Need to make that a consistent practice skill for each session. Truthfully, I was a little burnt out because I climbed hard earlier that morning. Feel like if I’m fresh - I have better chance at it.

@@cantskate5535 I love driving too. Clears my mind. But yeah, when I drive, I'm too busy enjoying the drive to be looking for hills. lol I felt like the speed at which you were swinging fro and back for that slide @ 3:56 was ideal for an easier time to get back on the board. The quicker the swingback, the easier it will be to stand back up (the forward swing's speed isn't as crucial). However, with practice and experience, you'll later on be able to stand back up from a Coleman at any swingback speed. Your muscles will learn to adapt to the different speeds. But for now, I'd say go for a quick swingback as it is a little easier to practice standing back up. Good luck and enjoy!!!

@@nickamaritthank you. Yes, truly noticing speed is making everything easier, but also sketchy in case I eat it. 😆 I’ll be putting my full helmet on just in case. Sunday drives are definitely mind clearing. I was actually just driving around my new neighborhood and had this hill idea to revisit-since I saw one time before. All good fun in learning and progressing.

Looking better and better man. You've inspired me to try and take this up again, so thank you. If you ever get time you should swing by Austin, we've got some really good/crazy spots up here.

Thank you and wish you well on getting back into it. I’d love to know where the spots are because I go up there about twice a month to indoor climb. I tried a couple spots, but they were probably not the best.

@@cantskate5535 Covered Bridge Dr, Rialto Blvd, Couple of roads off of Rialto are all pretty good. There are a lot of hills to discover out west. I'm not good enough at sliding yet to do most of these hills, I mainly hit up a parking garage over by the Pennybacher bridge, or other parking lots until I get kicked out.

Thank you. I’m using SpeedSound and Slopes App (purchased upgrade; using “telemetrics” option). My GoPro 11 tracks it too. I typically run all 3 because dependent on cell phone reception-it can get spotty or in consistent.

Hey where would I start to build a rig like this? Coming from popsicle boards

Whoa that’s cool. I would first check around your local area to see if any longboard skateboard shops as they may have a style you like. If none local, check out the board you may like for example: Comet Orbiter, Pantheon Athena Lisa Peters, Prism Owen Fox, and Rocket Phoenix. Those are the four top boards I have specifically for downhill. Do some research before buying one, you tube, reviews, etc. and remember it’s highly subjective - and each set up is unique to each rider - noob like me or pro. You can google suppliers or the two ones I primarily use are Muirskate and Motion Board Shop. Nate with Muirskate set up my Athena board and is a great resource - as well as any longboard store or vendor. It’s a great open community and privilege to learn from everyone. Any more questions, let me know. Good luck. Thanks.
