I usually do this in every one of these games ( Wordle, Quordle, Octordle... ) 1st: Crank, 2nd: Jumps, 3rd: Botel, 4th: Weigh, I know it will probably give it away, but you can do one of those for your first word, or at least a combo of 2

I threw out forgo, somehow thinking it was forego. First fail on quordle in the couple of weeks I’ve been playing. Should have typed it in to check, I guess. Fun channel, btw.

This one was rough. It took me all 9 guesses and I think gormy (second one) took me about 20 minutes to think of anything. Thankfully I had two guesses left as well. I ended up putting in forge to check for letters and then there was a long face palm after the result.

an overpowered strategy that I use for only quordle and octordle is glent, brick, jumpy, vozhd, and waqfs. this covers every single letter except x. the thing that makes it challenging is that you only get one try to get it right after using these five words.

I got this one in 4 5 6 7. I started with the words STARE, COLIN, and DUMPY, then guessed VOICE, HOVEL, FORGO, and testing the F let me determine the last one was WIRED.

I haven't tried octordle, but it seems like at that point it would be easier, not harder. There's still only 26 letters. Most of them have got to be there. EDIT: I just tried it. It was VERY easy. After 3 starting guesses, I guessed 6 words in the next 6 guesses, then transposed 2 letters (pasty instead of patsy, both equally plausible) and then got the last 2 words. Solved in 12 guesses. I see the game only gives you 13, so not much margin for error, but you really don't need much. EDIT: Tried again in case it was a fluke. Again, got it in 12, same 3 starting guesses and except 1 guess with transposed letters that was equally plausible and didn't impact any other word, I got the remaining guesses all correct.

I use ready, lions, thump as my 3 starting words. You get a c, b, and a g that I don't. I get a y, p, and m that you don't. I'll take y,p,m over c,b,g. Also, since I don't get c or k, they often go together in a future guess, so I often don't miss them. If there is room for 2 consonants together I don't have, I know ck is likely. And if there is an h with a consonant before it, c and w are my top thoughts. So there is room to make inferences about letters I didn't include.

Here's what I usually guess in wordle, quordle etc. 1st set of words Patio Nerds Lucky if thats not enough: Fight 2nd set of words Brick Glent Jumpy Vozhd Waqfs This gives you every letter except x but only one chance to guess the answer.
