LOOKING FOR THE BEST BASE LOCATIONS ON SCORCHED EARTH! Soloing the Ark S6E86

When I went to Scorched Earth, I went out of my way to find the location of the battle barn base that Neebs and crew built. In the vicinity of the green obelisk, right next to a water hole, and not far away from an old bone pile. It took a long time but I went about recreating the battle barn as best I could. To me it's one of their bases, and they made it look like a friendly, cozy location to hunker down in.

Spent ages looking for that site myself, but was never totally sure I found the right spot. Ended up turning my temporary base next to the green obelisk into a huge sprawling compound that's now one of my all time favourite bases.

There’s a water well in the trees near one of the land bridges. I have a outpost with a windmill attached to a wyvern trap pin there. The trap door is attached to a keypad powered by the windmill that runs my fridges there. This is on my single player. Wyverns tend to stick to down in the trench so I don’t get unwanted visitors besides bugs. But that’s what guard tames are good for.

Next to one of the mesas in the central ravine there’s a tiny one-foundation-sized spot of “wilderness”, which has 100% wind. I like building next to that, since it’s in almost the dead center and I can get constant power, plus I like the look of Adobe buildings that are built into the red rock walls.

On the topic of what the Thyla is, it's a marsupial! It was called the Marsupial Lion, so calling it a cat can work XD

There are also slither of wilderness that runs up and down the central canyon along the edges of it or cliff. Could be another good way of building centrally and still get 100% wind

My favorite place I've built is over by the T-Rex triangle! There's some ruins over by the spikey rocks and I just built right on those! You're close enough to water to run some metal pipes to, and you're close enough to the desert that you can build some kind of electrical shack and run free permanent electricity. Downside to this spot is its really fast away from any obelisk. Second favorite spot is over by green Ob as it's pretty, has water, and is right next to the desert so you can build windmills and run lines over to your base! :)

You can build anywhere on the map and get 100% wind if you are willing to run electric wires a good distance. I can’t remember exactly but there is a cutoff on how many electric wires you can run before it stops supplying electricity. However, there is a work around that still exists that worked for me on pc single player. And that is after running your electric wire i think i went 50 all you have to do is remove and replace one of the wires closest to wind turbine and it should start producing electricity al the way at the end. Just keep in mind if you add to your grid you have to repeat replacing electric wire next to wind turbine

I found my favourite location for a base is right up the very top of the mountain crag right above your head where you started off. It is out of range of everything. And I got my water from where you were right there. I piped it right up to the very top of the crags

Thylacoleo means "pouch lion". Apparently its an Aussie Marsupial Lion, though not closely related to modern day lions, that pound for pound had the strongest bite of any mammal living or extinct. So you wasn't far off tbf.

I myself just started a solo last week, I've just hit lvl 100, raised my first wyverns and now I'm onto scorched to try for a phoenix and to build my main base, seems scorched has the lowest traffic so I can prepare for raids on the more populated ones

Oh hey this is a resent upload, im doing a second play through scorched earth right now. I didnt know about "h" and wind. I just didnt get windmills at all. Good to know about T-rex triangle, i knew about the thylo one though

Hey man it’s been awhile and I messed up big time my girlfriend broke up with me and I can’t get over her. She was perfect but she just didn’t work out I feel terrible but know that even if I try to get back together it won’t work. I have never been great with relationships friends or otherwise but I am asking for help from not only you but everyone else. I know that KZbin isn’t the best place for this but I need to get over her and have no idea how. I also need help trying to get people to like me because that has always been a problem for me I am always incompetent with relationships any of them. Also I would just like to say Phlinger you are the only thing that has kept me going for this long and I thank you for that. It's a thing. One of the biggest pain in the butt tames in the game. Only turns up during the mega heatwaves, never lands and is only tamed via fire damage. Loooooooooooots of fire damage.
