for those asking, you can get a Class a cdl at 18 for intrastate, (in state), 21 to get a class a cdl for interstate. CB's are not illegal in the united state even with the mic plugged it. and it may be just a state law that prohibits it. as far as a license to use a cb, never heard of it, must be a Canadian thing.

Great video. Thanks for sharing your insight on what it is like to be in the transportation industry. I am doing Class 1 lessons right now. I`ve driven all of two hours hauling a 53 ft trailer. Lots to learn about shifting!

Depends where you live I suppose. Here in Canada you have to have at least two years driving experience to apply for a Class1/CDL

@19:00- I agree about the bad stuff in microwaves- I use a hotpad at work, and I know you could too. Just a single stovetop for travelling. Would be perfect to heat up your food or water. So I have a similar point to bring up- what about as a trucker being around all the pollution being breathed in? Isn't that really bad for health too? I want to truck, but don't want to deal with the pollution issues. I grew up in the worst pollution in America. Don't want to go back to breathing it again.

As long as you can pass a dot physical you should be good talk to some trucking companies and they will steer you where you need to go

Hi there, i really feel like the Lord is leading me into trucking, i just have a problem, i do NOT want to be a trucker in Europe... (i live in the Netherlands) So i was thinking of immigration to Canada or the US but immigration can be tough with all the rules etc... So i was wondering if you have any tips or maybe know company's that hire foreign workers and also train them? Do not have my CDL and do not want to get it here because i have to get it again when i get to Canada or US... so paying double for it... Love the video's God bless ;)
