Ryan Graves sits down with Professor Avi Loeb, a renowned scientist from Harvard University, to explore the fascinating world of unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP). As they delve into the profound implications of these mysterious phenomena, they discuss the need for a systematic survey of the sky, the potential technological nature of UAP, and the implications for our understanding of the universe. Join them on this enlightening journey as they probe the depths of UAP and its significance in shaping our perception of the cosmos.

In 1993 he moved to Harvard University where he was tenured three years later. He is now the Frank B. Baird Jr. Professor of Science and former chair of the department.
Professor Loeb also holds a visiting professorship at the Weizmann Institute of Science and a Senior Professorship by special appointment in the School of Physics and Astronomy at Tel Aviv University.

PS I just finished a sci fi (or, re-finished) about the deep ocean community. If a technological intelligence aids survival, and if ocean life came first, then there should be an advanced high tech civilization down there. It's logical.

I think Avi is a grifter attempting to sell books. There is very little support amongst the peer review process for Avi’s views regarding Oumuamua. Project Galileo is ridiculous plan that doesn’t go remotely far enough and won’t find anything remarkable. Ryan can’t make up his mind whether he’s an actual eyewitness or not… hasn’t interviewed anyone from his squadron that actually saw the phenomena, he owns a company that aims to sell equipment to the government/Galileo so that they can look for UAP, clearly believes he encountered an Alien despite no evidence…… I increasingly find them both to be mostly credulous……

It's always interesting and I learn more every time Avi explains Omuhahmuah even after having read his book.... Sometimes when scientists make claims like he does we want to say "yeah but what do the experts say?" Well Avi is that expert and the buck stops with him..and I get that science is all about data but the data says Omuhahmuah was most likely the shape of a disc... was shiney like metal.... entered the solar system in a way it stuck out like a sore thumb...it is what it is...

I am all with Avi’s quest; but I differ regarding some of his ideas. The segment of the government that looks into UAP data secretly actually would have hardcore scientists to analyze and verify items such as potential crash recovery material. Though such scientists may not have Avi's credentials, they would follow the scientific method that Avi refers too. Also, I believe it’s necessary to triangulate past DATA with current ones to discern patterns regarding this subject. The past DATA may not be as current; but it is data that can intellectually or even scientifically tie with current data. Additionally Avi, while openminded he does display some elements of scientific close-mindedness because too much of his rationale is black or white in terms of everything having to rely on conventional data alone, even if they’re hypothetically based. Yes data spells the most conclusive picture; but much of science is hypothetical based on the available information; not everything need to be conclusive; the human sphere often demands hypotheses before confirmation even in science. And science is very often wrong and eventually needs to adapt its conclusions based on new information … So there are some contradictions in Avi’s base ideas.

@sg9524
@sg9524 Жыл бұрын
He is all about his evidence, but Ideas usually start without his level of proper evidence. And, whilst he can search for the evidence, we (the general population) can ask for more evidence directly from the people who are potentially hiding it. If the general people do this effectively we'll find out far quicker, if there are hidden spacecraft and alien bodies... hopefully at the latest towards the end of this year eh!

The clarity with which Loeb explains the scientific method is simply wonderful. Many people whose interest lies primarily in the UAP topic will be listening to him. This is a great way to disseminate science. Ryan's point that this may be clever engineering (within the ambit of known physics) rather than new physics is very good. If precise scientific observation of the Loeb kind does confirm incredible speed but no fireball then we shall need to try and figure out what the clever engineering might be.

Unfortunately, what is implied by Ari here, is that instrumentation should have the "last word" --and this hinges on the amount of money we would spend on such thing's "effectivenese". Mcluhan et. al. have indicated that invention is often (fractally and in simple first case perception) the externalization of some physical attribute, that a human has within the body or it's appendages. The feet in rotation (a circle) turns int a bicycle, the jaws are like a vise. The human characteristics existed prior to these "inventions". It may well be, that monetary "power" has perceptual limitations, tha the human potential exceeds--but we may never get there, if we decide that the insreumentation is ina fully expanded and telescoped state "today". Ari is used to a "Rich Man's Game". That is myopic, within an ever expanding infinity that is NOT "out there"-- but additionally in every grain of sand. "Each Grain of Sand, is a Map of the Land...and We're all One" From the song "One" written by myself.

I hate saying this because it sounds absurd, but if the US really does have some sort of treaty with other intelligence, disclosing the locations of Avi's telescopes watching the skies is a grave mistake. If another intelligence did want to go undetected, it would be easy to avoid those places. If Avi comes up with nothing and concludes it was a waste of time, it would be the final nail in the coffin for any credibility this subject has remaining. Then disclosure would be completely in the hands of those hiding the truth. I hope he chooses his locations wisely, and keeps at least some of them top secret. Disclosing everything to the public risks everything. Be smart.

I have complete respect for Ryan Graves but I am perplexed as to why he’s always introduced as an ex-navy pilot who has seen a UAP. I once saw him interviewed not long after he appeared on the scene, where he admitted to having never seen one personally, but had had many of his fellow pilots relate their sightings to him. Now for the life of me, I cannot find that video on KZbin. All I can find are interviews where he is introduced as an ex-navy pilot who has SEEN these things in his military flights off the east coast of the United States. The thing is, if you’ll notice, he never refers to them in the first person, it’s always “we’ve” seen them. And he never corrects the interviewer to say; “I personally haven’t seen one, but many of my fellow pilots have.” Has anyone else here seen a video of him where he admits to having never personally seen one of these things? If so, please reply to my comment here and leave a link to the video. Like I said, I have complete respect for Mr. Graves, I just can’t figure out why he now allows the perception to the public that he has personally seen a UAP when he’s admitted he has not.

I have seen several videos where he admits that he has not seen UAP himself. I think he stays very on point and knows the technology and the physics we know. However, he is very interested in UAP stuff. They can only be perceived on their terms. It's disturbing when the interviewees bring balloons to UAP observations. Pilots probably have no doubt whether they are seeing a balloon or a UAP

@@pekkavirtanen5130 Interesting. I've only seen one video where he's admitted as such. So that's good to hear. I've posted this question in the comment section of a few KZbin videos and to date you are the ONLY one to respond so thanks. For the record, I think it's more likely than not that we are indeed being visited. And like I say, I very much like and appreciate Ryan Graves and take him at his word. I can say the same for the other official whistleblowers too. I just don't understand why Mr. Graves never corrects his interviewers on this detail. Maybe it's better he doesn't, as then he might be perceived by some as being less than serious and this subject needs all the serious, smart and credible people it can muster. So, maybe it's smart on his part to just let people think he's seen these things with his own eyeballs. What do I know. It's all beyond my pay grade.

@@epii1073 All priests tell and talk about Jesus and God, even though they have never met them. If you watch the video, you will notice when Ryan Graves wants to direct the conversation back to UAP, and Ryan does not agree with Avi on all issues.
