I always thought that the line "Dark Matter" was a brain reference. instead of Grey Matter, the concept of being fucked and pulled down by drugs mentally making you feel darker and more numb from addiction and all that malarkey. Thats the beauty of writing lyrics though, it can mean one thing to you but an entirely different thing to someone else.
