Benzoin is my favorite note, for me it’s smells like tobacco incense and vanilla at the same time. Crazy scent and charisma it makes evry fragrances more luxurious

I'm from Indonesia and we use Benzoin in our rituals. Funnily, I'm not a fan of this scent because it reminds me of the rituals and funerals. I can tolerate it in Grand Soir, though.

I always love these type of videos that you do, it’s great to take a deeper look at specific fragrance notes/ingredients. Just to let you know, olibanum and frankincense are the same resin- just different names with different lineage. Olibanum is from the Arabic name ‘al-libān’ and Frankincense is from the Old French name ‘franc encens’. Happy holidays.

I LOVE benzoin, much more than vanilla which is too sweet for me. love resins in general. My favorites are Grand Soir, Ambre D'Alexandrie and Fève Délicieuse

I love watching videos with your co-host Dana. She is very knowledgeable on fragrance notes and offers interesting tidbits, that are of more of a scientific nature. It's something no other youtube fragrance reviewers seem to do. I don't know if others are fascinated by that side of it, but I certainly am. I would enjoy more content from the two of you. You have good chemistry also, you come across as having a brother/sister type relationship, that works.

Love benzoin, one of my favorite notes. I did recently grab a newly released cheapie with benzoin that I was very impressed with. Wait for it...Liz Claiborne Curve Spark for women. Top notes: fizzy kiwi, juicy acai, pink pepper. Mid notes: Jasmine Petals, Pulpy Peony, Tutti Berries. Base notes: Electric Amber, Madagascar Vanilla, benzoin, sandalwood. It has three different stages to the perfume, and just gets better with time. Insanely strong and long lasting too. I usually do one, but two sprays is max for me with this one. There isn't a single review in writing or video format online. Definitely check it out, benzoin babes. There's a little bit of a masculine quality to it.

Only Benzoin frag that I own and have multiple backups is MB Club Black. Imho a cheapie masterpiece and now hard to find in the wild.

@@kirstym3910 Try Indochine by Pierre Guillaume- it is gorgeous! It is definitely subtle but Seb is right- it’s resinous. This frag is 1/3 benzoin. I hope you will sample before blind buying tho- Lucky Scent has it:-)

Had benzoin essential oil for a long time and it is so warm and comforting. Been waiting to get my hands on a bottle of Bois d'Armenie for about a year now. It's been price prohibitive but will definitely save up for it. Great video and excellent background about this wonderful note.

Nice video. I also adore benzoin. I like guerlain Bois de Armenie. My favourite benzoin perfume at the moment is lush snowcake. Usually in soap but also in perfume in limited editions- currently in the website. I hate all their other perfumes but that one is a love.

We use pure tincture of benzoin in the operating room. It's rubbed under the nose for procedures that are decisively odiferous. No joke here.
