I have it and I like it. My wife think it smells more sophisticated than other fresh fragrances and I can relate to that. Yes BDC is in the same ballpark but Tygar is higher quality. Value for money it’s probably not, but sometimes it’s just nice to have a fragrances that not everyone else is wearing.

imo Jacques Cavallier is a king of Fresh. Despite that said of course LVMH items are going to be overpriced as they are specifically priced to be exclusive. Any fashion (or jewelry) item fragrance is simply an upsale item, designated for people of which money is little concern.

I kid you not, onekh is easy 12+ lasting, projecting beyond 6 hours, and It reminds of the leather in Au Hussard.

Great description, I thought this was like Bleu de Chanel but simpler ingredients, i.e. just grapefruit and ambroxan and yes the grapefruit is sooo sparkly. as for price, I guess it depends how well you feel it performs on you and if you can spray less. That's how I look at pricing. Cost per wear based on amount on sprays and longevity. I think if you spray once on a piece of paper and leave it in a room for a day, you might realize how well it surprisingly fills the air but in a subtle way, which is great for a hot-weather scent. So I think you're saying you like the Tygar scent but in the Louis Vuitton package and price point B-).

I think Tygar is more similar to L'Immensité, but Bleu de Chanel is not too far away from it, either. And surprisingly Aaron Terence Hughes' Neon (mainly grapefruit, ambroxan and dry woods) smells quite alike, as well. I wasn't that excited about any of these, but would love to try Bvlgari's Ambero...

I got a sample of this and wore it last night. I thought the same thing, that it smells like a realistic but short grapefruit opening, ambroxan bomb, and maybe a little bit of iso e super. The almost spicy musk you get from it hints at ambroxan and iso e super. My first thought actually was fragrance one office.

I always imagined this one to smell more like L'iminsité actually, which i actually really like, i own 3 from this collection and they are all pretty good, more niche style i guess, my favourite being Ambero!

I have the Tygar and the BDC. And I can understand your point but the are definitely not the same. To your question about worthiness I have to say it’s totally worth it if you want to smell apart. Not everyone is a chemist to me mixing molecules and all that nonsense. Totally awesome juice!

Do Opalon and Onekh as well! Jacques Cavallier is one of the best and my absolute favourite parfumier. He is the nose behind the original Bulgari Pour Homme and Pour Homme Extreme - timeless and absolutely unique scents. He also did Jil Sander Sander For Men. Cavallier is the master of calm airy fragrances with amazing sillage.

Late to this video Sebastian! I spray Tygar along with wood sage and sea salt and the two work well together. Have you tried bulgari Gyan from the le gemme line? It is Patchouli jasmin and incense. To my nose it’s a new take on patchouli very smooth and the jasmine just takes works so well for a male target fragrance.

You need to try Gyan, I love that one. I think you will like Gyan too since you're a patch lover. I prefer Gyan a little more than Tygar since Gyan is more different. Cheers! Garanat is very good too.

I had the chance to try this from an Emirates x Bulgari toiletry kit, really love it's sweet yet sophisticated scent that isn't too "feminine". Price for a full bottle is ridiculous though..😅

After trying (and loving) Afternoon Swim, I watched your great review of Tygar, Afternoon Swim, and Arrakis...which dealt with their similarities and differences. I was then inspired to smell Tygar and Arrakis. I have now smelled Tygar and Afternoon Swim, and I have ordered Arrakis (after you spoke fairly highly of it). I just wanted to tell you that whoever said there’s some big similarity between Tygar and Afternoon Swim must’ve had a sinus infection! They might smell a little similar in the early top notes for a couple of minutes when first sprayed on, but after a couple of minutes there’s no comparison to my nose. Afternoon Swim is primarily a beautiful fruity citrus fragrance; there are no woody notes or ambroxan in it. I think if someone hasn’t tried AS, you really need to. It is the most mouthwatering, fruity/citrus fragrance I have ever smelled. It’s expensive, but I will pay the price for it. I have smelled nothing else like it. Many heavy fruity scents are a little too femme for my liking, but not Afternoon Swim. It is totally unisex. I’m totally smitten by it, and amazingly, the performance is excellent for me...especially for a primarily citrus-based fragrance. As for Tygar, I REALLY enjoyed it, but I will not pay the price they ask. That’s why I just ordered Arrakis blindly, because multiple reviewers now have said that it is quite close to Tygar... and it’s about 1/3rd the price. Thank you for leading me to this point on these 3 fragrances via your reviews! 🙂

I like Tygar. Perfect for summer or hot weather. Fresh but not over powering to wear daily even at work . Try Onekh. If you like oud fragrance, you’ll definitely like Onekh. Compared to LV Ombré Nomade, they are both excellent perfume and love them both, Onekh I think has more oud and more exotic. I prefer them both compared to Armani Prive Oud Royal or Creed Royal Oud. Thanks for the nice review. Finally, something about Bulgari Le Gemme. Too few reviews about their collection, especially showing the actual bottle. Have fun with collection.

A little late on this one, but while in Bloomingdale's yesterday, I saw these for the first time. For whatever reason, I never bothered smelling any if them, but in my opinion, that bottle is HUGE, like, literally too big to fit in my collection, I really don't like it. I kind of think the gem on top is pretty tacky as well.

Brownisch Effekt on the top? It’s called le gem collection and the Parfume is called Tygar.. It’s not a brown effect it’s a tiger eye (a gem) :D like all from this collection are a reference to a gem and the have the gem on top.
