I was just in Nice, France at a wonderful shop called ICI Concept Store where I was able to smell both the original and extrait. The lovely owner Anne kept telling me that those who wear these fragrances are often “arrested in the streets”. As an American, I couldn’t help but chuckle at the expression. While I was shopping a gentleman came in to buy another bottle of the original and used the same expression! It must be a very arresting scent. I found it to be too masculine and peppery for my taste. But, I think that I preferred the extrait because of the amber. Priced very reasonably. If you happen to be in Nice, tell Anne hello! She’s delightful!

Thirty-two percent is a dream come true. I wonder if this trend is due to the fact that these EDPs are so expensive now. There is less pain for 30 ml, balanced by a higher potency.

@@ThePerfumeGuy The more intense the better, for me, LOL. It was a thrill to meet you, get a chance to see the turnout (did you see my Yelp review of the event and Scent Bar WeHo?). It seemed a total success (and why not?). We didn't want to intrude -- you were surrounded by admirers. Yes, I am going to pin the girls down with dates. They are dying to do this, so they are motivated to make it happen. And, now the next fragrance? Wow! And, that means you will be back in LA in the spring -- another opportunity. 😍 (And, thank you for introducing me to Debra -- we had a lively conversation that I enjoyed. She's great.)

Very similar to the original, I like the extrait a bit more with the warm amber touch balancing the chemical smell. A bit redundant and I would have preferred a flanker like a "bois Imperial noir" or something and make it more different. Darker and sweeter.

Here in Romania it's the equiv of 130 €. The OG is 82 €. We have a boutique marseille soap shop that sells all the Essential Parfums range. It's an official retailer. Thanks for the insight!

The difference is the quantity of the perfume oils used. So in an Eau de toilette less oil less expensive More oils in extraits it's more. Basic economics

Tested it on paper some time ago. I liked it better than the original, which smells a bit chemically synthetic to my nose. The extrait smelled denser, richer, less synthetic. I guess blended in a way that is more pallatable to me. Will have to test it on skin too.
