IMO all Amouage fragrances that are Made in Oman are not reformulated. So the Made in Oman version of Interlude Man is beast mode. But, you are right Made in UK version of recent AIM is not beast mode. Just IMO.

Wow! I own the original formulation. I get huge projection and excellent sillage with 24 hour longevity from Interlude, wearing just 1 or 2 sprays. In fact, I only wear 2 sprays in really cold weather because it's so beastly strong. When I do my laundry, I can tell which shirt I wore with Interlude because even after a wash I can still smell a hint of it. It's beastly.

Do you know if by chance your original formulation is dark colored like whiskey?? The new juice appears to be closer to clear than whiskey.. My samples were the dark colored Interlude - they were NUCLEAR strength. The new bottle I received from Oman is no where near the performance as the dark colored juice 😫

I almost didn't buy Interlude, due to the beast mode hype. I was afraid of it being overpowering. Well, thank goodness I did, because it's a really special fragrance. I literally tilted my head and went "huh?" the first time I wore it - I could not wrap my head around the scent, I just knew I loved it. Interlude (magnetic cap) lasts through most of the day on me. The morning after it has turned into a sweet resinous/woody skin scent. If sprayed on clothes, it survives one wash and leaves a hint of ambroxan, only darker

Interesting take. I just added Amouage to my fledgling collection. I find Jubilation XXV absolutely intoxicating BUT it also is NOT beast mode. Just ordered Interlude Man because of my appreciation for this House, my love of the scent characteristic of Interlude AND the Beast Mode claims. went to an amouage botique out here in dubai 2 nights ago. i tried most of their perfumes, i have to say, interlude 53 is still strong on my arm. this is after 3 showers over the last 2 days. i can still smell it. if that is not BEAST MODE, then i dont know what is! i sprayed their journey on my wallet and all my cash smells like it too, i have to say i got compliments from whoever ive paid in cash so far.

I get what you’re saying. I have both versions, magnetic and non magnetic and there’s little to no difference in terms of performance. I think once you start getting into some of the Extraits or crazy beast mode frags like “Intense Incense” it kind of shifts the goal posts on what you consider “beast mode”

One of my top favorite niche frags. On my skin it lasts 2 days and on clothes days but the projection is surely not huge these days. I have a vintage decant also and on comparing with my newer batch bottle I can see the new one performing weaker.

I think youre right, its not beast mode at all and I own both,original and reformulation bottle. I think what a lot of people make them perceive it as beast mode is its very unique and potent smell. they confuse this uniqueness with beast mode. and its mostly people who are new to fragrances with untrained noses who say that its beast mode

I had the original formulation of interlude , and it was definitely strong but I wouldn't even call that beast mode. I think what we perceive as " beast mode" is based on what we've tried. So people who wear splash on aftershave or body sprays. Most things in perfumery will be super strong. Interested to hear what others have to say 👌

I had a decant in 2013 and the juice was almost an orange color, and it was pretty strong even after 12 hours. I then bought a full bottle a couple of years ago, and when i spayed it into that empty aforementioned decant bottle it was yellow in color. For me it still is somewhat detectable after 24 hours, but instead of still going pretty strong after 12 hours, it's more like 6. Plus as a result i think the incense is toned down, and it's more balanced with the myrrh as its more sweeter off the hop.

After hearing all the chatter about this, I finally experienced it today from a 2ml tester. It is a powerful cologne, but not as dark as I assumed it would be. It’s spicy and peppery, with an undercurrent of a medicinal smell, kind of like camphor or Vic’s VaporRub type of a smell? It is intense, and it seems like it would be very long lasting, it just has that vibe. It reminds me a little bit of vintage green bottle Polo in the 1980’s when Polo was very strong and lasted for days on a garment.

Something like Carlisle is much more beast but I would say this is also beast, but a smaller one. Tbh, I like that it isn't a massive beast it makes it easier to wear. Sunshine Man pushes a lot more than Interlude if you want something along those lines.

maybe its olfactory fatigue? this along Rien II and Black Afgano are three that are unnoticeable to me after couple of hours but next week when I were the shirt of that day and it touches my skin I can feel it like I've just applied the fragrance and they start projecting all over again (and I dont spray on the shirt, these beasts just find a way from my neck down onto the fabric)

With the incense, oud and patch, it certainly could or should be. I don't have near your experience but I have noticed distinct differences in performance between bottles, decants, or samples of the same fragrance on multiple occasions. Both designer and niche. Perhaps some bottles are exposed to more light or heat than others before sale, during transport, or maybe some contamination during bottling. Thanks for your video!

I own a bunch from Amouage, but I don't have this one. I tried it after it was reformulated/watered-down a few years ago, and I though it was really nice...but performance was not beast mode and I have other beast-mode Middle Eastern frags that I love more. To me, my favorite beast mode, not too far out of the mainstream, scent is is Mancer Black To Black, which lasts forever on my skin. I would take Tom Ford Sahara Noir and Montale Kabul Aoud over this one any day of the week. Cheers!

Please accept my apology first, but to be honest, this is just like all other middle eastern scent except the oregano note that hyped it's popularity, most probably.There are lot of "attars" or similar concentrated oils, those are widely available, smelling exactly to this one. I had some samples of the old formulations and the new version bottle (although bought it almost 4 years back) and I never tried it second time after sprayed for the first time. The library collection has almost the same DNA of Amouage and the only one which stands out is Opus VI. But again, there's the Amouage presence into it. But Opus VI is better, it is the strongest in my opinion. These fragrances cannot be wore in all occasions and serious office situations. Comparing to that price of Pound 250+ I guess there are more fragrances to choose from . All the potent fragrance reviews of yours are absolutely spot on, no doubt. Cheers.

I think people just like to say that everything new is not good....but but but...You also make some very interesting videos about special ingrediens and other stuff, and also have some very clever perfume friends/nerds...I think it could be very interesting to dive deep into Why perfume last like they do....All people say...it`s a eu de perfume so it last long a have good projection...But thats not all...I have many eu de perfume that last not half the time of some of my eu de toilet....What do some last and other not...I know body chemistry have a part...but what about the % of alcohol and other stuff...could be so interesting :-) Have seen one of your friend study to be a perfumer...maybe she will help

More and more, it's seems like we're catering to the most fragile, to overly stressed populations and to bodies succumbing to environmental toxins. Just as the magnetic cap is a clear distinction by many, the country of manufacture is also thought of by many to be a tale of two formulas. I have a bottle of the magnetic cap Oman origin. It's stupid strong but I wouldn't call it beast per se' more obnoxious than anything since it goes super cloying if more than 2 sprays are applied. One spray on me is enjoyable but I have to be in the mood for it since it's so sweet.

Do you have the uk or the oman version the made in uk one is very nutered but the made in Oman is really beast mode
