@lightbath this is so ironic because I just finished a piece that is so similar dealing with the Lfos and geometry of elements really truly some interesting stuff there. I really enjoy using lfos and envelopes for sequences and such so much out of so little! Always enjoy your tunes Cheers!

I never owned Braids, but I absolutely love Plaits. It’s kind of my main sound source now, along with Rings. And I mean outside of the context of this Loom series.

After selling all my eurorack stuff because I got so lost and confused in the modular rabbit hole, this is definitely the system I am going to get. I'll probably add Warps I guess. Did you use Shades as a mixer? I definitely want only one output, as I always had to attach an external mixer to my old system which sucked sometimes...Do you have any other suggestion what MI module I could add? I got 104HP, but I am going to get a micro clouds to save some space.

In the Loom series Shades often mixes before Clouds with Clouds being the last stereo output. Warps is probably my least used Loom module. But if you like cross modulation and stuff like that, go for it. Marbles and Stages and Plaits and Rings and Clouds are crucial in my book. And I’d add a new Tides, too.

Warps was used just as a crossfader, by the way. Not the best that it can do, but it was what I needed to make crossfading the two outputs easy, so I did it.

@@Lightbath I was also thinking about Tides and maybe a dedicated quantizer and a headphones module. Thanks for your help :) In general I like the idea of focusing on one brand of modules to avoid another eurorack shopping spree :D

Yes, exactly. A micro Ornament & Crime instead of Marbles can be very useful (Marbles is a quantizer, you know... a VERY powerful and flexible one). And a little Erica output with the headphones jack is useful for a self-contained plug & play system. Cheers.

Thanks. I guess it sounds like that, huh? Good ear. It’s the result of indexing the overtones in Plaits harmonic oscillator and the harmonic series basically goes up to a b7 until it then starts getting microtonal, so that’s probably what’s going on.

The one thing you really didn't mention is how you are triggering the ADSR in Stages. It's got a specific rhythm that appears to affect the whole patch. What is triggering the gate input on the ADSR and how did you get that rhythm? A trigger sequence? Is it Marbles?

Yep, it’s Marbles but I couldn’t mention it at the time because it was yet unreleased.

To my knowledge there are no 2hp Mutable modules in the pipeline. But really, anything is possible.

Sounds like he was just peaking, the noise goes away once the fade out starts.

Clouds is not the quietest module and it’s all running through that. I even ran Izotope RX on it.
