I made it, I made it!!! My scarfhat came out awesome! I used Bernat blanket yarn so I only needed one strand. WOOHOO !! I did it ! I finally finished my Scat. It took about 2 weeks of off and on knitting. ( Also made a pair of fingerless gloves for the first time. I may make a pair to match my Scat) The Cranberry/Black Lion Brand Scarfie yarn looks great. I did 155 rows including the brim. And added tassels that were about 8 or 9 inches. The whole thing is about as long as I am tall. LOL I love it. It is so thick and warm.....good for where I used to live...in the mountains of northern Utah. :) Thank you so much for sharing your videos. You always do such a great job. Take care, Snowgirl/Janet

Take your son to pick out his yarn colors for the hat,that's what my 3 son's due and that way he will have the exact colors he wants and will be very grateful for it. Let him know that my 3 son's are ages 28,24,and 20 and they wear this type of hat and they like them as well their friends which are male and female

Thank you Karen. I use the 36 peg loom because that is what fits my head the best. But if you want a looser fit or if you need a larger size hat, you can use the larger loom. :) This pattern will work for any size loom. I hope you have fun making yours. +snowgir 22 Hi again snowgir. I actually cannot remember the colors that I used for the brown hat. HAHA I think it was stuff that I got on sale at one time and when I was coming up with the pattern I threw the colors together. :) That was my first hat. Cranberry/black sounds REALLY pretty. I am not sure how long it took me to make. I am sure it took me a few days to make one. Of course I am always setting my work down and doing other things so it might take me a bit longer. LOL I hope you are having fun making yours. I know it is going to be beautiful when it is done. :)

+Sam Jones Start the cast off at the beginning where the side peg is. Be sure to do your cast off stitches LOOSE. Make the loops as loose as you can make them. You might want to practice the cast off stitches on another loom before actually doing it on your scat. +Ellen Fox Hello Ellen. The markers that I have on the pegs are small rubber bands that I use for making bracelets on the Rainbow Loom. I use them for my basket weave hats to help me keep count.
