What do you think of this Loom Knit Class? I'd love to hear your thought. Also please discuss below if you would be interested in a loom knitting Class that would be broken down video classes on a separate website with more access to me as well as worksheets and practical help on loom knitting specific topics. I am considering making my own courses off the KZbin platform that you could access any time with no ads and it would also house pattern access all included for a lifetime. It would be a paid class much like if you were getting lessons in a local store.

Kristen, This vid demonstrates fair isle loom knitting excellently! The “new floatless system”, is ingenious! I learned fair isle ages ago, but avoided looming because of the long floats. Kudos⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

GoodKnitKisses I would love to sign up for your class but not sure how it works with deaf person. I’d love to do a bit advance of fair isle or mosaic one since few friends wants me to make shape looking on the hats but I kept getting long floats. I don’t know what I did wrong. This video is great for basic less for three pegs. I’m looking for multiple colors and many pegs changing. That’s where I still need help. Your loom class would be an ideal for me. But not sure how this works though.

I've been waiting for this hat on a loom since the needle versions came out last year. It is not possible for me to needle knit one handed so finally I can make some fair isle hats. Thank You Kristen.

I am using a round fixed loom and am not able to remove the space with the empty pegs during the Shape Top steps. How should that be handled?

Thank you so much Kristin. I'm new to fair isle your video explains it so I can understand it. I have a learning disability . I have a question, when using a graph chart are all charts the same when using a different gauge loom? There a chart i want to use but she uses 3/8 gauge and I want to use 5/8 . I hope I explained that right lol. If you could please reply I'd deeply appreciate it. I want to give the hat as a Christmas gift thank you.
@GoodKnitKisses4 жыл бұрын
Yes and no the charts are the same. However to get the same size item you will need to change your stitch count. So you will need LESS stitches than a 3/8 pattern. Yours is a large gauge for 5/8 and a 3/8 is small gauge. There need to be more stitches in an inch for smaller gauge. So say they get 5 stitches in an inch and their item is 18 inches in circumference with a cast on of 90. Then yours is say 3 stitches per inch. If you cast on 90 sts then you would get a 30 inch hat. Which of course is crazy big. So you would need to cast on 54. Just take the stitches you get in an inch and multiply by the width you want to get. For the charts it depends on their chart. If it shows all 90 stitches (I’m just using example numbers here) then you may have to figure out any stitch multiple and divide it up so you can remove stitches to have the right number for your size. If the chart is just a stitch multiple or repeat then the chart will easily be usable no matter the size. It’s such a large generic way to answer I hope you don’t mind me trying to throw some numbers here to help explain. (To get sts per inch: measure a swatch of your own knitting in the main stitch pattern on the loom and with yarn you want and divide by that number. 4-6 inches is good for the most accurate. I do have calculators on my website to help with this stuff).

First of all I just wanna say that I LOVE your tutorials, I've been watching for a while and I've learned so much from you, so thank you! I know to do this pattern you need a loom divisible by 4, however I have an oval loom that I prefer to use but it's divisible by 5 (it has 70 pegs, 1/2 gauge). I love this pattern so much (thank you for teaching it to us by the way), is there any way that it could be converted? I've tried but I just can't figure it out! I would really appreciate the help ☺️

Where can I find the child size knit pattern for this hat?
@perlerangel23615 жыл бұрын
What about the Martha Stewart knit and weave loom kit? Would that work for this pattern?
@GoodKnitKisses5 жыл бұрын
Perler Angel you would use all the small pegs in every hole. I haven’t worked that loom in a while so you’ll need to check. But if you can get the configuration in a number divisible by 4 that would be good. If you can get it in the round with one of the cast on numbers then you should be able to use the instructions in the pattern for a non-adjustable loom since it doesn’t have sliders. Let me know if that works for you, okay?

I have a silly question to ask. Why KB make baby loom set in purple 64 pegs and light green 56 pegs in small gauge? It makes me question why they bother to make that size? Hope you can answer my question.
@GoodKnitKisses5 жыл бұрын
pmg1180 so that you can use a thinner yarn.
@pmg11805 жыл бұрын
GoodKnitKisses so you are telling me the purple set small gauge can be used for thick yarn? I’m trying to understand the different between those two set loom. That’s all. I was reading the instruction and I was puzzled when they said”baby” for purple set. That’s all. Thank you for replying.
@GoodKnitKisses5 жыл бұрын
The small gauge set can use medium weight (#4) or light weight or baby sport (#3) yarn. The larger gauge set is for bulkier yarn. It has wider peg spacing for that. The one with the pegs closer together is for thinner yarn. They have several baby type patterns on their blog for that look but really you can make other things.
