You are so welcome! Dawn they are REALLY so much fun - I made one for my adult daughter that look just like her and she went nuts about it. The pattern includes a coloring sheet so that the recipient and decide and the colors for the dress and hair. You don't need it to need the doll - it's just a fun extra. Hi Denise Love this video. I too had a ballerina. I also took ballet. I won't say how many years ago. I can't wait for part 2 and the pattern to come out. I have great nieces who take ballet and I'm going to make the dolls to give to them after their dance recital in June.

I like these as gift a lot - I'm sure they will love them. The can be lookalikes for the girls just by changing the hair and adding a favorite color for the outfit.

I have a problem with row 15. In the video you end at peg 3 to the right of the anchor peg. The next scene when colour change you are on row 16 at the same peg. What happened to row 15? By the way I really enjoy all your tutorials. They are great.

If you want a thicker doll you could use the whole way around the loom instead of 16 pegs right?

No - to make the thicker you can double your yarn. To make her bigger you would need to revamp the pattern

Yea - it really depends on the knitter. I have ADD so I really don't like answering this question to much. My mind wonders badly when I knit - I can spend as much as an hour totally distracted. Sounds funny - but I wish it weren't true. To give you a reasonable time for regular people I would say about 2 hours / beginners maybe 4. I hope that helps some

I really love dolls! I want to make some dolls for our battered women's shelter. Do you have a pattern that would make a similar doll but would be bigger? I think little girls need something a little bit bigger doll to hug especially during hard times. I'm a sissy and I like to do everything in erap. The other knitting stitches sort of bother me. Do you know of any patterns like that or do you have some? Also I had a little trouble going to the site to get a printable pattern. I don't really know how to do that. Thank you so much for your help. You do a great job of teaching!
@LoomaHat
@LoomaHat 6 жыл бұрын
Hi Cookie - I'm not a fan of the eWrap - especially for dolls but if you use it, knit with 2 or even three strands as one. If you do that you will get a larger doll. By the way - I do plan on having a larger doll later this year. As for printing from my site - the site is content protected for a lot of reasons but you can not print from the site you can only read - sorry. I plan to do a video on the list of issues why I decided to do that. Here is a video on knitting with 2 strands as one: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pmHFip-Fj7llppY

Hello, I have a 24-pin loom, but it's bigger than yours (20cm). I tried to make this little doll but it did not work. To give you an idea, how many centimeters is your loom? The most influence in the work: the amount of pins or the size of the loom itself? Sorry for some mistake. I am using a translator.
@LoomaHat
@LoomaHat 5 жыл бұрын
Hi Sara! The size of the loom is going to have a bigger impact than the number of pegs. My loom is 12.7cm in diameter

Why does my row fifteen end on the opposite side as yours? I've done this three times and I end on the other side. I start knitting row ten flat,right? I wish you had this one as a written pattern,usually I do better visually but not this time. Ugh! I'll figure it out, love the doll and I can't wait to finish one. Thanks for your videos they have helped me so much. I would love to see a messy bun hat video,the other ones I've found don't work out well.
@LoomaHat
@LoomaHat 6 жыл бұрын
Hi Sandra - the written pattern will be available once I post part 2 but I would not concern myself to much with which side you end up at the end of a row - that has no effect on the end product. It's not that kind of pattern - so all you have to worry about is having fun with the project. What say you ? : )

Denise would never call anyone stupid. Her videos are perfect for beginners, and even those of us who have been looming for a few years. Her videos are light-hearted and fun. Her creations? Amazing! (Stepping off my soapbox now) 🙂
