I loved your little trick at the end. I'm doing a different type of scarf now on a loom, but will try your trick to tighten the end. I never seen this done before. Thanks for the tip.

Please do Linda! But first try it on a smaller project. It's always good to try new techniques on a small swatch.

Do you ever do written patterns? It really helps me follow a video.
@ijustlove2sing5 жыл бұрын
Hey Denise 😊 I noticed in the video that when you get to row 5 and so fourth, I believe it's four stitch pattern should be ( slip 1, k1, k4, p4, k4, p4, k last 2. Correct me if I'm wrong. I've been wrong lots of times lol! But I do believe the two row pattern changed. No harm intended. I respect your hard work and your excellent teaching style. You're definitely one of my most favorite teachers.
@aliciagamble8335 жыл бұрын
No. It's an alternating pattern. That gives the work a woven look. Rows 1-4 are a k4, p4 while rows 5-8 are p4, k4. I've made several of these scarves using this video, they come out beautifully. Happy knitting!!🖤
@cryaboutit8887 жыл бұрын
If you were to make a blanket using this pattern, how would you go about it in terms of the size of the loom, the number of rows, stitches and purls? Would it be easier to make smaller squares or to use a rectangular loom? I'd also like to say you are amazing and thank you so much for sharing your loom knitting wisdom to the world.

Hi Ashli - thanks - I would suggest making the exact scarf then just connect enough of them to get the size you want - here is a video to show what I mean: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pHeQiamgl912fdE

Thank you! You always make the patterns seem so easy! What do we do if we have to add another strand of yarn while making the scarf?
@debbiebachmeier4141Ай бұрын
going to try this right now what yarn did you use, I have number 4 yarn, do I have to double it?

The scarf looks neat, and it looks very clever done on the loom but I’d definitely find this easier with needles
@LoomaHat7 жыл бұрын
I have heard that before - totally understand. I have ADD and find it impossible to knit any other way, so if you find a friend that can't handle the needles send that person here - to try a knitting loom - it may just be what works for them.... :)
@Steve-gp4rm7 жыл бұрын
I’ve recently started loom knitting I think looms do male a lot of things more easy, like double sided knitting for example. I wonder, is there anything a loom can do that is impossible with needles?
@quincykane81363 жыл бұрын
how do you know which pegs to put the markers on? Is there a good way to keep up with the count of how many rows you've done?
@LoomaHat3 жыл бұрын
I place them where ever the pattern makes a change in the stitch. To keep row count you can use a counter or paper and pencil.
@lesliemarshall5575 жыл бұрын

as soon as I can get yarn that is more than 250 yards (I am not very good at adding a new skein) I'm trying this. I can't get my yarn yet (I plan to buy a brand called PaintBox Chunky pot) until I use some of my supply I already have, up. :( But thanks for another easy scarf pattern.

Denise i try all your technic never past 4 row hurt it my hand.. How come you make it so easy explain in detail what yarn you using cause my chunky doesnt work I so depress starting over.. Since 8 try 4 of you tenchic still hurt my ✋ and notice 14 peg look like toddle scarf

Hi! I'm a beginner in knitting and I wonder if it's possible to make a hat using this stitch?
@flizzer35794 ай бұрын
I love this pattern! It pairs perfectly with the textured ribbon stitch hat pattern. I ended up doing 16 stitches instead of 20 since it ended up a bit wider than I expected. How would you go about doing the modified bind-off for 16 stitches instead of 20? Thank you! ❤

This is so pretty! If I use a #5 wool or yarn on the knifty knitter, do you think it will look too thin with 1 string?
@LoomaHat7 жыл бұрын
Lisa I'm using a KK and a #5 will look just fine with just one strand. Keep in mind that novelty yarn will say 5 because it's furry not because it's thick.
@punky197617 жыл бұрын
LoomaHat.com oh, ok, I didn't know that, that's good to know, because I've gotten #4 or #5 yarn that seamed thin.
@joncampos88436 жыл бұрын
So basically you just have to make sure that the knits and purls are on the same pegs?
@LoomaHat6 жыл бұрын
For a specific number of rows then you do the opposite. It’s all about how you “stack” them
