Suzy have you tried making this with a flat knit instead of the ewrap? Although yours is really nice and tight mine are usually loose

There is no need for putting plastic in the rim. It holds up quite well

Suzy How many pegs would you use for the 31 pegs and the 36 pegs loom on the knifty knitter?

Unfortunately I have only made this for the 48 peg loom. I understand there are other patterns around using the larger gauge but I havent done it on those sizes as of yet. I think Kristen from Goodnight Kisses instructs you in how to calculate for such a thing.

sorry my dear, this was made for 48 pegs not 31 or 36 pegs. The way it is worked on 48 pegs is wrapping 16 increasing 5 on each end. So if you wanted to convert it to the other sizes that might give you an idea for your conversion.

For written instruction, Im afraid this is a paid pattern which will show you a picture illustrated version along with a decrease bind off..( www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/loom-knitted-news-boy-hat ) As far as the hat itself, you can use any stitch you prefer to use.

Can this be made on a 41 peg loom? I'm unsure if I am supposed to use the same number pegs for my markers but something tells me I need to reduce the length in between mine being its a smaller loom. I would absolutely love to make this for my sister as a Christmas present, I think she would wear it all the time so please someone let me know ASAP, I need at least a week to get this made in between school and being a full-time employee. Please help! -Jen

This loom has a narrower gauge (3/8), and my pattern was made for this size. I do not know how it will work out on a 41 peg loom you would have to try it.

They no longer make these looms, sometimes you find them being sold by those who bought a few but they are bought up quickly.. You can use the All In One Loom, using 2 pegs together to = 1 peg on the purple loom...

The same thing with hearing impaired. Make your videos as still and "in the frame" as possible because it's very difficult for a hearing impaired person to follow along with a shaky, blurry video that is not kept "in the frame".

They do accept knitting needles on airplanes so don't see y not a loom and pick..
