You're an absolutely great teacher. So many helpful hints and info for those of us just getting started. (I especially appreciated your comment that "not all weight of 5 yarns are created equally." I thought I was crazy because I made a beautiful hat with a 5 weight yarn in one brand and when I made the same hat using a different yarn, it looked terrible.) I love how you explain the what size hat comes from using which loom. Your patterns are wonderful ... and so are you. Thanks.

I had learned how to use a loom about a decade or so ago but hadn't used it a lot and forgot a lot of it, this was so easy to follow along and honestly felt easier than when I learned. I love how you give us options of how to go about it and also the little giggle, it felt like I was sitting with a friend and looming. Made a hat for a friend who helped me out and I won't see for a while since I am moving. Thank you for the video!

Thank you so much for making this video! I can’t tell you how disheartened I was watching video after video for looming hats where they used purl stitches. I thought for sure I would have to use purl stitches (or go peg by peg, rather than going all the way around before bringing the bottom loops over) and I am so relieved I can do it this way! Your hats turned out beautifully and you are great at explaining all the steps! This will be my first attempt trying to loom a hat - I’ve only ever loomed (and crocheted) scarves. Thanks again!😄

This was an awesome tutorial and I just thoroughly enjoyed your personality as well! I have been painting reborn dolls for over a year and it's hard finding hats for them without having to buy in bulk and getting all these plain boring colors that aren't unique at all. Also those hats can fit looser or tighter depending on whether the dolls have bald or painted hair, or how much hair is rooted into the doll if real hair is chosen. Using your tutorial I can now make my own baby hats! That will help add even more of a personal touch to each of my customer's purchases and make the box openings even more beautiful when I can color coordinate if they have a favorite color/colors. Whether you even see this comment or not...Thank you!

Just a personal tip, I have made many of these for a few years now and I find when I am making the brim, that tucking the tail in between the bottom loops and the loops added back on to form the brim is so much easier than dealing with at the end. It's out of the way for the rest of the project and no need to worry about sewing in at the end :) Slouchy hats are really cute loom knitted as well! happy looming! Nice tut!

This is a fantastic tutorial. I already knew how to make hats like this, but I still decided to watch this. The yarn you suggested is the best out of what I’ve tried, (7 different brands) and the softest, except velvety yarn. This tutorial is very high detailed, and you seem so calm. I’ve discovered that the orange loom, (36 peg) for a cuff I would recommend 20 rows, it is a great length and looks really well. For above the cuff, I recommend 20-30 rows. For the pink loom, (? pegs) I figured out that it is very big, and I actually recommend a 36 peg loom for most adults/teenagers/kids. The purple loom, (? pegs) works best for toddlers. The green loom, (24 pegs) is best for infants - 1 1/2 year olds. Also, I recommend going loosely. If you have not made a hat this style/way before, I recommend to go a medium tightness, as loosely can be pretty hard since you have to deal with loops coming off way easily-er.(?)

I particularly enjoyed that you omit many unnecessary words which some people can not help but make turning any tutorial into an encyclopedia search and rescue project if you want the information. Thanks.

Loved your video. I don't use a "knitting pen" for the round looms, but I find it very useful when making a large project like a scarf or blanket on a long rectangular loom as it really helps you to zoom along and is way faster than manually winding the yarn around the pegs in a figure 8 pattern. So fun! Thank you!

Thank you so much!!! This is just what I needed! I appreciate your detailed instructions and your sense of humor!!! I’ve just begun knitting with a hoop loom and I enjoy it very much! I’m making hats for the homeless which is a win / win. I get to have fun knitting with the loom, it benefits others and I can make as many as I want! Again, many thanks!!!❤️

Thank you for showing how to make a hat and making it look so easy. You are a very good teacher and I look forward to seeing more of your videos on loom knitting. Maybe a video on when you make a mistake like skipping a peg and not realizing it until you're back to the start again and you have already met the others.
