@SweetheartCozy & anyone interested about sock yarn. UPDATE!! You CAN use sock yarn. Isela Phelps tried it and put on her blog. Here is some of what she had to say, for full quote see description above: "...I got a total of 7 stitches and 8 rows= 1 inch Woot! Woot!!! The sample was done in stockinette stitch (using the Flat Stitch). The fabric is not super stiff or tight but it would still make a very comfortable sock or a springtime hat."

I ordered this loom and have been using it since Friday. All I can say is I love it!
@GoodKnitKisses12 жыл бұрын
@vandlilie the board measures 18" I think. (I'm not where I can measure it right now. The pegs are spaced 3/8" apart. You can use sock yarn, sport weight, worsted easily on this loom. You can use bulkier yarn but not nessesary. It's a great loom.

Great info. Just wish you had said Centimetres. Sigh. I bought my son a little loom because he keeps asking me to teach him to knit, but he's a lefty and I'm not, and he just wants to be a knitter, not really LEARN to knit. LOL> He loves rainbow loom, so I thought he'd be willing to give the little loom from Michaels a shot. Oops... Mom is now hooked on the loom, and want a good, versatile one that I can adapt lots of patterns to. This one looks great!

Kristen, I forgot to mention yarn I'm using : 'I Love This Wool' There Gauge shows 4x4. So now I am confused, which is right for me? Then 12.5 x 4 = 50 ...50 (0.85) = 42.5. Could I round this off to be 44 stitches, so they aren't too snug?

Hi Kristen, plz help! I'm having a problem figuring out how many stitches I need on the AIO Loom to make socks for my husband. His foot circumference is 12.5. Ok, so I multiplied 12.5 x 5 (5 gauge ( 5 st /in & 9 rows / in ) = 62.5 Then I multiplied this 62.5 x 0.85 = 53.12. I would round this off = 54 pegs. Is this right? I hope so. Thanks so much, your videos are wonderful. I am learning so much.

How do you figure sizing for a hat with this loom? I have only made hats with the the rounds loom with large gauges. Thanks!
@vandlilie12 жыл бұрын
Kristen, please tell me what the pegs size is. I mean how much diameter is the peg,and how much between two peg. Because, I don't like to use the thick yarn. You say 28" board. Does it mean the wood size? Thank you.

I just bought the 18"KB knitting loom my question is can I buy extenders to make it a 28"knitting loom
@catherineportland5035 жыл бұрын
no the extenders she is talking about is the 1 2 3 cm little extenders, you buy a 18 28 38 it doesn't get bigger unless the stitch can be stretched when done. hope this helps

@FamilystoreRoss8 жыл бұрын
also can tell about sox wool does have to be special sox wool or will be ok to use any wool to be worn with steel cap boots thanks jill australia
@GoodKnitKisses8 жыл бұрын
+Familystore Ross Sock yarn is typically used for socks as it is a light weigh material about the same gauge. However the content could be wool or something else or a blend. Wool is good for boots for several reasons. It depends what you are needing the socks for though and working conditions. A thicker yarn will make a bulkier sock. it may be the very thing you want for your boot for cushion with working though. It really depends on your needs and what environment it will be in.
@FamilystoreRoss8 жыл бұрын
it for work boots in australia so would wool be too hot in the summer . the boots are steel caps and we have found the store brought sox very soon wear a hold around the toe. i follow you channel very close and have enjoyed seversal of your projects

That's for a hat? It looks rather large. How do you measure for a hat on a rectangle loom? Thanks and keep the videos coming, they're great.
@GoodKnitKisses10 жыл бұрын
Yes, that is for a women's slouchy hat size. If you normally see a round loom, a rectangular one that knits "in the round" is hard to look at and discern sizing. It's adjustable too which is great. Thanks for watching and commenting! :) -Kristen
