Looming Paramount Global Deal

What is all this nonsense about AI? Is he suggesting they need AI for a recommendation algorithm or they could somehow make money training an AI model on thier content. These are literally the only 2 Paramount use cases for AI I can think of. Oh and recommendation algorithms don't need AI anyway.

Nah. Not the same pool. Media companies have excessive money, they just buy IPs and make contents not having to care about making or losing money. Losing money only means tax write offs for them, and if made a great content, they just attracted more Prime Subscribers. Let's see Paramount make Fallout TV series.

He is focusing on AI only and that is totally nonsense. Streaming services should provide good contents not AI shitty ones. Disney+ already proved that bad content means no money at the box office and on streaming. Content means good writers and good actors…not just green screens and stupid plots.
