Choerry always manage to get unique lines, sometimes because of her tone, other times because of lore reasons. I love how BBC treats her, she has such an unique vibe to her and is so charismatic on stage, so versatile with concepts. Even though most orbits sleep on her, I can always see how she is important to the group, being both a strong dancer and vocalist, as well as playing a important part in the lore/concept of the group.

early loona really felt like hyunjin was being punished i’m so serious bc the whole mixnine thing and her mv having the lowest views i truly think bbc was underestimating her. they had one of the best visuals EVER with one of the sweetest yet powerful voices who commands the stage RIGHT THERE with hyunjin and they fully ignored her for two eras up until #. the most i can say hyunjin got in ++ and xx were some chorus centers and that’s about it. we’ve come a long way!

@aemanzth Hyunjin wasn’t really punished, objectively speaking other members simply are overall better. That’s why she doesn’t have much lines nor spotlight. I’ve been following LOONA since Girl Front came out and even before their debut I knew: Heejin, Chuu, Kim Lip, Jinsoul and Yves would received more lines and spotlight; Choerry, Olivia, Haseul and Hyungin would fall somewhere in the middle; and Go Won, Yeogin and Vivi would be left with crumbs. I’m not saying this is ok but it’s common in groups with several members, plus even if Orbits hate to admit it the truth is that LOONA in particular isn’t balanced talent wise, Heejin is miles away Vivi in every aspect, for example, hence why Heejin receives royal treatment while Vivi is treated like an ornament. BBC should have made sure their trainees were equally balanced before debuting them. Now regarding Mixnine, Hyunjin performed alright, her vocals were criticized but she did an overall decent job, unlike Haseul who sadly was eliminated early and heavily criticized by ugly YG. Hyujin was strategic and managed to put the spotlight in Heejin. It was a strategic move.

And Chuu being Main Vocalist doesn't excuse Vivi's mistreatment. Chuu can have the most lines, that's fine, she's the best singer of the group. She deserves it. That doesn't mean Vivi has to have so little lines. The real complaint here is Vivi being treated like a backup vocalist instead of an actual member, not Chuu having a lot of lines. There is a difference of eight minutes and thirty-five seconds between Chuu's total time and Vivi's. That's extremely sad. I understand that Chuu is a powerful vocalist, but they never even give Vivi a chance to show how good she is. We used to chalk it up to her Korean skills lacking in the beginning, but that's not a good excuse, especially not anymore with her solo debut now 5 years in the past and with several albums since then. Her, Go Won and HyunJin are constantly being overshadowed, comeback after comeback, and some Orbits are wondering -- why bother debuting a 12-member group if you're going to continue using the same members for the same things and not allow the others to have a chance? Vivi moved from her home country to Korea just to keep getting the short end of the stick. Go Won dropped out of school to become a singer. This is how BBC treats them. It's tiring.

She's a good vocalist, but I think LOONA 1/3 warped the expectations of Orbits - where she obviously was consistently either #2 or #1 in line distribution during those times. Orbits never got to experience how BBC would regard her abilities when she was in competition (for lines) with many other strong vocalists besides Heejin. Speaking of Heejin, it seems Orbits often forget that Heejin had just as many lines if not actually a little more than Haseul did on 1/3 songs, and she (Heejin) at the very least got almost all of the big climax high notes (usually reserved for Main Vocalists) of those unit songs. That should have been the biggest tell of how things would develop moving forward. The truth is...Haseul sings as much as she does in LOONA 1/3 because BBC considered her as a stronger vocalist than Hyunjin and Vivi were (and this is consistent even after OT12 debut, as she still gets more lines than them, so that didn't change). But it's not like BBC ever truly considered her a stronger or better fit for Main Vocal position than other members of the vocal line, and that was shown when OT12 debuted. But there was no way for Orbits to know until that happened. It also seems like the girls themselves *and potentially* even Jaden himself also believe this because I would argue if ARTMS currently had a Main Vocal position based on which parts which member gets, I wouldn't say it's Haseul (at the moment, we'll see when DALL gets released). The way the girls themselves distribute parts whenever they can, whether that be back then or even right now, to me it never seems like Haseul gets pushed as a Main Vocalist. It seems to be more of an Orbit thing. To be quite honest, I don't really understand what's so wrong about her being a Lead Vocal instead... It's not a bad position by any means.

unpopular opinion but everyone got the lines they deserved, specially in albums like 12:00 and xx. heejin and kim lip were THEE vocal colors and backbone of loona's sound; chuu was chuu. yves and jinsoul lines were really prominent, but I wish they would've used jinsoul's tone a lot more; ++ was her era bc the album was basically produced around her voice and then they stopped using her out of nowhere choerry olivia and hyunjin had the most interesting bendings and delivery in their lines. the monotree guys literally spent idk how much minutes explaining how hyunjin basically birthed the butterfly chorus. olivia shined specially in ++ and hyunjin/choerry in xx. olivia could've been the only rapper in loona tbh my poor girl haseul, loona's biggest mystery is why they shoved her in the background that much every single time she was on that studio when she was not riddled with her anxiety. if I was the producers I would've recorded every single line I could've gotten from her. # could've been her era and she couldn't even perform in it. everyone complains about gowon yeojin and vivi but haseul is deff the one that got the short stick when it came to lines yeojin got used the most efficiently in my opinion, her thick voice paired with her juvenile tone did wonders when it came to break the ice in choruses and post choruses (12:00 was her best era) gowon and vivi's voices were THEE fit for adlibs and short lines. they could've been used more for background vocals but I think they shined pretty well when they were used, even if sparingly.
