For closeness: as soon as BBC tried to remove Chuu, everyone in the group lawyered up and immediately pushed to terminate their contracts (it took a little longer with Vivi, presumably visa related, and Hyunjin basically stuck with her, Vivi seems close with her and her family). That's probably the best demonstration of where they got to: at the bare minimum they all really respect and trust each other. Beyond that, you have plenty of pairs that went on to choose to live together, or frequently publicly chat or work together. Ironically when filming this particular MV, they probably werent nearly as close, as a whole. yyxy were a strange case, they were all signed externally with short (or no) training. BBC had other trainees that the existing Loona girls wouldve known for a few years, then all of a sudden these unknowns are pushed to perform in front of the trainees to show why they arent good enough, and then immediately debuted. Really dickish move, and just isolating for the yyxy girls. Understandably they stuck to each other more than the rest to start. Notably none of them chose to follow the Loona director post-BBC like the ARTMS girls did, though Loossemble are on the move again so who knows where they will land.

I'm glad you did the solos and some of the subunit stuff. You would just lose too much if you jumped straight in the full group without looking at what came before. Their pre-debut project was epic and it deserves recognition.

This dropped at the perfect time, I was just binging your other Loona reactions! To answer your question, Loona really is like family. Obviously some are closer than others (Yves and Gowon basically live at each other's houses) but all twelve are remarkably close. The lore generally splits the world into three "planes" of existence; Earth, Middle Earth, and Eden. These three planes are wrapped into the shape of a mobius strip where Earth is one side, Eden is the other, and Middle Earth is the edge in between. You are correct that the 1/3 member (+Yeojin) live on Earth. We see "Middle Earth" in the Love Choerry Motion video when Choerry teleports to the dark purple world and it is used by the Odd Eye Circle member to travel between the realms. Eden is where the YYXY members lived before deciding to escape from this restrictive place by partaking in the fruit of knowledge (aka the apple from Genesis). Each yyxy members eats their own representative fruit in their solo MV (Yves - apple, Chuu - strawberry, Gowon - pineapple, and Hyeju (Olivia Hye) - plum). The YYXY members escape without Hyeju in the Love4eva MV, but we see that in Hi High that Hyeju is ready to take the leap into the unknown after literally ascending from the basement to the roof in her own climb during Egoist. The Odd Eye Circle members meet her in Middle Earth and bring her to the rest of the members on Earth, finally uniting the group as twelve. I also highly recommend you check out favOriTe! It is technically a b-side on their debut EP, but it was released before Hi High and they released a music video for it.

I really appreciate you checking all these out in order, because, in doing so, you get this "culmination" effect. Even if you did all the solo and subunit debuts in just 1 week, I think you still are able to grasp a little bit of what a ginormous debut project this was. And you can just 'feel' the build up, the anticipation, the weight, the energy of finally coming together as 1 whole group. This song really is a burst of energy. Happy energy, of them finally meeting and joining each other. It also has this "we were meant to be together" kinda feel to it. It's a very special song. And if you hadn't checked out all the solo and group debuts beforehand, I think you would just think "oh, nice song. Typical cute girlgroup concept. Nothing special".

Yay! Finally the whole group and I even remembered about half of them! 😅 What a build up! It's only been over two weeks that I've been watching this OWC and I can't believe that in reality they did this for over a year, was it even two before they finally debuted the whole group? Not gonna lie, if I'd have been following in real time, my attention span is no where near long enough and I'd've given up so I'm glad I'm able to do this after the fact. Love the song! Yes that hyper arcade music in the background. So insanely fun and their energy is unreal. Which really kind of makes the debut right? I mean imagine after all that waiting and you get a ballad-y slow song or something. I think this perfectly expresses the excitement of finally getting to b all together and the culmination of the road to get there.

I think I agree, for me personally, I dont think that I would stop paying attention, but if it was me at the time this was all happening, there is no way they would have been an ult group because of that. poor attention span. agreed, and honestly it is a genre that pops up in KPop and it is usually done with great effectiveness, surprisingly. how they do that, I dont know? but they do, I agree, I bet they were also pretty hyped, probably because that means they could be unleashed in full, instead of having to wait

Obviously some girls are closer to some than others, but from what I can tell they genuinely are all close. HeeJin and HyunJin were the first two girls and got pretty close early on; then HaSeul and YeoJin joined and HaSeul is the leader and one of the oldest members so she was immediately a kind of mother figure to YeoJin. ViVi has also been a kind of mother figure for the whole group. Kim Lip and JinSoul also got pretty close; HyunJin and JinSoul got close; I think Yves and Chuu got pretty close and Go Won and HyeJu are super close (I genuinely sometimes have wondered if they're secretly dating lol); Chuu and Kim Lip have been close friends since before they joined the group because they were friends in high school. I know Choerry and HyeJu were in the same class in school as well but idk how close they were then. HyunJin and Chuu are also pretty close. This is all just what I remember off the top of my head from watching years of their content, though recently of course they've been "split up" but that also means that some new combinations have been made. HyunJin, YeoJin and ViVi who worked closer together in the first unit era are now in a group with Go Won and HyeJu. Go Won and HyunJin are the same age so they've also been closer before; Go Won and YeoJin sometimes bicker a lot but that just makes them look more like real sisters. Yves is solo now but she has written songs for Loossemble and joined them in the studio to guide them when they recorded the songs she wrote. ARTMS members (HeeJin, HaSeul, Kim Lip, JinSoul, Choerry) also mentioned Yves before in an ARTMS video, even though it's generally pretty rare for idols to mention other members they were in a group with (because the companies like to pretend ex-group-members don't exist, although this situation is a little different of course). When the girls do individual live streams these days, sometimes other members that they aren't even in the same company with anymore show up in the chat; or even show up irl; I think Yves once did a live stream at home while Go Won and Chuu were visiting (even though all three members are under different companies now). They also show up at each other's showcases; I think when Chuu made her solo debut all the members visited behind the scenes; and I think Loossemble members showed up at ARTMS's debut showcase. And members have said during live streams things like "I _am_ LOOΠΔ" (when jokingly asked by fans "hey do you like LOOΠΔ?"), and "we are LOOΠΔ", "we are still one", "we'll always be LOOΠΔ". They are.. as close as a girl group can be.

thats good, I always think to myself like when a group breaks up, do they keep talking, chatting or visiting? like I follow Daisy from Momoland, and she does not seem to have any contact, I am glad they feel like that maybe one day we will get a reunion

1:33 HeeJin and Kim Lip look up at the crescent moon, which slowly starts getting fuller. At 1:45 I think HaSeul found YeoJin, who was lost (because of Yves' meddling, when she picked up the frog plushie with the claw machine). 1:55 ViVi is running again! She's wearing the same school sports outfit as in _Love & Live_ which is another reason I think her solo and her other appearances were all before that. This now continues from the moment that she ran away as a cyborg and her battery was low. But she seems fine again! At 2:04 Kim Lip and Choerry stand next to each other and start to run, and JinSoul seems to be about to run but as she turns around we immediately see flashes of different places: she can teleport so maybe she doesn't need to run? Though we do see her running later; either way: ODD EYE CIRCLE is on a mission to find everyone. At 2:13 Choerry first finds HyunJin, which was foreshadowed because when they were traveling and teleporting around in _Girl Front_ there was a short flash of HyunJin at one point. Then as Choerry and HyunJin high-five, at 2:16 we see Yves, Chuu and Go Won from yyxy look back as if they can feel something is happening. At 2:23 Kim Lip finds HeeJin. At 2:26 ODD EYE CIRCLE finally finds HyeJu (Olivia Hye) who was all alone, and she finds herself at the top of the diving board(is that what you call it?) above an empty pool, with Yves looking up. And then as she jumps they're finally all together!!! At the end we see many of them running and we see JinSoul jump just as HeeJin also jumps, and HeeJin goes up in the air impossibly high; I guess as all the other members are running and jumping they somehow channel all that into HeeJin, showing that they are one. I'm not really sure though how Yves, who started out as a kind of villain, became redeemed and is now hanging out with the other girls and everything's fine; but it happened _somehow_ and we love a story where someone who's a villain early on becomes part of the good guys' team 😊 9:17 That's one of my favourite parts of the song, JinSoul's line there and the way she like shrugs in the video is so cute. "Arcade" feels right, and yeah the energy is great and it feels like a song that just makes you want to.. well, run! 😅 They've done this song as an encore at concerts (post-LOOΠΔ as well!), where they're just in their comfy clothes jumping and running around the stage, no choreo, just having fun. And yeah I agree that even though obviously you can't find every tiny bit of solo music in here, it really does feel like a blend of all the solos and sub-units. The song was composed by MonoTree, a group of producers that worked on most if not all of their solo and unit music as well. Jaden Jeong, the creative director of the group and the brain behind LOOΠΔ, also added to the lyrics. And Jaden left BBC in 2019 because of "creative differences" and started his own company MODHAUS which now houses tripleS and ARTMS. The fact that 5 of the girls ended up following him to his new company suggests that they probably trust him and that the bad treatment from BBC had nothing to do with Jaden Jeong. HaSeul has even said that she relied on Jaden so much at the old company, that when he left the company but when LOOΠΔ were still there, she would sometimes call him when she was having a hard time, and he'd buy her food. And Kim Lip said that after he left, the girls would say to each other they'd wish he'd come back because how all the plans that were up in the air were changing. So we can rest easy knowing that the person responsible for the creativity behind the group was not the person who mistreated them. The producers from MonoTree have also worked with MODHAUS since then, on a lot of tripleS music and ARTMS music. And MonoTree has also done a song on Loossemble's last album! And now that Loossemble have released 3 albums and they haven't renewed their contract at CTDENM, I'm hoping that maybe they've got an offer to join ARTMS at MODHAUS as well, but we'll have to wait and see.

I greatly appreciate you putting in some extra details here, it does make the Mvs make waaay more sense. Do you think that because of all the running that it means that this is a direct sequel to the song love4eva? it kinda feels like that to me, it all lines, does that mean as well that this turns YVES into a hero? or at least not evil? I feel like I have a lot of extra questions now lol JinSoul is so cute as it is LOL! yes! Arcade music is the best! I like to use the phrase "makes me want to run through a wall!" thats so cool! I am glad that they are allowed to do music from LOONA, it feels like a lot of companies are rather grungy about allowing that to happen, I would assume that too, if they want to be with someone who mistreated them, I am sure they feel good about that

That was the one from LOOΠΔ 1/3 with HeeJin, HyunJin, HaSeul and ViVi running and doing the baton pass thing and ViVi the cyborg running out of energy; _love4eva_ was the yyxy unit song set in the prestigious school in Eden. But I think it's a sequel to both because I think all the stuff in Eden, with Yves first biting the apple and then "tempting" Chuu and Go Won to do the same and then leaving the school all happened at the same time as the 1/3 girls were meeting each other for the first time; which is why when Chuu "fell to Earth" she met HaSeul from _The Carol._ At least I always interpreted that as Chuu waking up on Earth after eating the strawberries with Yves; even though it looks the same, but maybe Eden is really just an alternate version of Earth anyway? But back to _Hi High,_ at the end of _love4eva_ Yves, Chuu and Go Won leave the school in Eden and walk into the woods, and the first time we see them in _Hi High_ they are coming out of the woods and go past a fence, I think that symbolises them entering Earth. So in short, yes, I think _Love & Live_ and _love4eva_ , and probably _Girl Front_ as well just happen around the same time. Although with Kim Lip time travelling you never can be sure haha I don't know if I cleared up anything or just made it more confusing hahaha

You might have a different opinion if you had checkout Favorite first before Hi High. I believe Hi High was chosen as the title track to appeal to the general consumers, where as Favorite was a sample of their real potential as a full group. 3:45 Chuu was the one hitting that impressive G5 note. In fact, Chuu was responsible for most of the high notes for the group. It was almost like a signature of any LOONA songs. When BBC kicked her out, I felt like they had removed the energy - the LOONA sound.
