"Hye" is pronounced somewhere between "hey" and "heh", is the best I can explain it :p I'm gonna be calling her "HyeJu" instead of "Olivia Hye" because it's easier to type and because she always preferred to be called "HyeJu" anyway; and these days she just goes by "HyeJu". She dropped the stage name as soon as she left BBC. And don't stop because you're afraid of butchering them! You're doing pretty well overall and and learning is much cooler than giving up 😊 At 2:10 there is a flash of other girls from behind, though it goes so quick that you'd barely notice if it weren't for the fact that one has blonde hair: They're Yves, Chuu and Go Won, the other three girls that left Eden. HyeJu stayed behind, alone. 2:21 the claw machine!! 2:35 someone puts a cherry in their mouth I'm guessing this symbolises Odd Eye Circle, or at least JinSoul with the help of Choerry, coming to find HyeJu who was the only girl left in one of the dimensions by herself. 2:57 HyeJu bites the blood plum (her fruit), but makes 100% sense that you thought it was an apple. If you know it's a plum you can kinda tell. Years and years later when they were touring in the USA as Loossemble, Go Won picked up a plum in the supermarket and showed it to HyeJu "look, a plum" HyeJu: "why are you showing me this" Go Won: "the lore!!! it's your fruit!" HyeJu: "oh. I literally didn't remember that" 🤣 Go Won and HyeJu are the best couple, they're super close but they look like polar opposites; HyeJu always looks grumpy, wears dark clothes, her favourite colour is black, rolls her eyes at everything, hates being asked to act cute. Go Won loves Kirby and Miffy and cute pink stuff, is always smiling and bright and happy. They remind me of stereotypical anime archetypes, if you know what I mean. The super cutesy girl and the scary tsundere girl who against everyone's expectations are dating, or best friends. 3:06 these flashes go super fast, but there's a claw machine dripping with blood, a shot of a wolf's eyes, and HyeJu's eyes. (wolf is of course her animal) 4:05 a wolf plushie slips from the claw. Blood drips from the claw. Yves failed to get HyeJu with her claw machine (a metaphor of course but a cool one imo). But it seems it didn't leave her unscathed. We also see her lying on the mattress like she fell from a great height, with red petals(?) all around her, likely representing blood. There are also shots of hands letting go of each other and I guess this could represent HyeJu letting go of Yves' hand because she doesn't want Yves to take her; or maybe it's JinSoul failing to save HyeJu; or maybe both hands represent HyeJu, and it symbolises her "letting go" or her past. The song and the video are very much about letting go of the past and learning to love yourself (I love that they then called the song "Egoist" which generally has a more negative meaning). 4:31 a cassette tape burns, I'm not certain why. We've seen both Kim Lip and Yves use cassette players; Kim Lip's represented time travel; and Yves cracked ViVi's cassette. In the next shot, a yellow/black checkered uniform is burning; the yyxy uniform. Haha well you might be kinda spot-on with the "Avengers initiative" thing 😂 Unwilling to follow Yves, HyeJu somehow got out of Eden without Yves, but at a great cost. But then HeeJin approaches her, who is basically Yves' opposite at this point. And yeah if the part where JinSoul's rap comes in reminds you of _Singing in the Rain_ and _Love Cherry Motion_ that only makes sense right, since _Singing in the Rain_ was JinSoul's solo, and the shift in _Love Cherry Motion_ was the moment Choerry traveled to the Middle Earth dimension and met JinSoul and Kim Lip. Can you believe HyeJu is only 1 year older than YeoJin? Though this came out a little over a year after YeoJin's solo, so HyeJu was 16 here. Choerry is just a few months older than HyeJu; but born in the same year so Choerry and HyeJu are the same age to Koreans: they were in school together. Which is funny because Choerry was revealed quite a bit earlier and everyone in the school was like "oh you know that one girl in our class, Choi Yerim, she debuted as an idol" and HyeJu just pretended she didn't know her even though she was going to debut in the same group 8 months later 🤣 Anyway! Yes! Industrial EDM pop 😅I love it 🖤

haha I will keep trying, I do feel like everytime I figure it out its flipped on its head LOL I thought that was a tie into ODD EYE, I admit everytime I see anything Cherry based in LOOΠΔ its tied to Choerry now you say that its a plum, the juice color makes sense, why would an apple have red juice? red petals is always a good substitute for blood, it would make sense, I did miss that actually. good eye, how do you keep up with this? lol! ok, so now here is the question, is it possible that the cassettes hold their power? almost like a magic ring or something? I did catch the YYXY uniform there as well! YES! the Avengers initiative thing! I have been in quite the Marvel world because of Marvel Rivals! that is why it reminded me lol! so, also I might do a video about this, but the newer Super Hero Luna Snow (Seol Hee) is gaining popularity, its an actual KPop Idol Marvel Super hero so basically Go Won and HyeJu are basically Glinda and Elphaba? 😅😅😅 Honestly, I thought they were all close in age, its weird when its like, oh, she's 14 here, thats when its like excuse me?

@@Killdeer25 Haha I've never seen Wicked but from what I know of it, probably 😅 ViVi, the oldest, is now 28, she was born in December 1996; while maknae YeoJin is now 22 and was born in November 2002. So the oldest member and youngest member are just under 6 years apart, which for a 12-member group isn't too bad actually. HaSeul, Yves and JinSoul were all born in 1997; Kim Lip and Chuu in 1999; HeeJin, HyunJin and Go Won in 2000; and Choerry and HyeJu in 2001. So except for the oldest and youngest they also all have at least 1 other member who is their age, which is nice. But yeah overall, for a 12-member group, their ages are about as close as you could hope for 😊

I think it is not too far fetch to call LOONA the Avengers of Kpop. 12 solo artists with talent and super power assembled to form the Avengers, to create great music, unheard of in the kpop industry at that time.

I never know the right terms for musical genres but I am sure industrial EDM exists because that describes whatever I was listening to back in the early 2000s that sounded a lot like this but was mainly out of Europe. 😅So I like this one a lot. What really struck me about the mv is that it is basically a boy group mv. Not like a girl group version of a boy group mv or a girl crush mv but a straight up, run of the mill, every boy group has an mv that looks like this to the point I get bored. I'm a lot less familiar with girl groups than boy groups so maybe there are girl groups that do mv's like this a lot but I haven't seen one like this. Shot for shot you could replace her with NCT, The Boyz, Monsta X and they wouldn't look out of place. But the fact that it is a woman and she's not actively trying to be masculine or tough, you could also place her into a prettier setting and she wouldn't look out of place, the juxtaposition made this mv so much cooler.

@@Killdeer25 Off camera, HyeJu has a charming and masculine personality, which contrasts her baby-like voice. BBC took advantage of her personality to expand the fandom. Pay attention to her vocals in the post debut era as well as in Loossemble. She is often given the killing parts.
