for what it’s worth, the song is literally about the AF1 shoe more as a metaphor for and in relation to their new beginning after LOONA / successfully leaving blockberry creative, their old label. in LOONA’s lore previously, converse chuck taylor’s were the girls’ signature shoe. with all the lyrics of this song being about transition, changes, fresh starts, being excited about what’s to come plus the burning of the chuck taylors and referencing air force ones ( step it up like air force one, next version up up up, both feet all white, etc. ), the change in signature shoes represents OEC’s moving into a new future.

for context: odd eye circle is a loona subunit comprised of the three members, jinsoul, kim lip, and choerry. after loona disbanded, the members split and joined different groups: loossemble (5 loona members), ARTMS (also 5), chuu (solo), and yves (solo). odd eye circle and 2 other loona members joined a new company called Modhaus. Modhaus created a group for the 5 loona members to re-debut in: ARTMS. like this, odd eye circle was able to be kept alive and so it became a subunit of, not only loona, but ARTMS. the full ARTMS group just dropped their pre-release and it is HAUNTING and beautiful. keep in mind, they have extensive lore so it will probably be confusing, but the mv is still such a beautiful, artistic watch 😭 i hope you can react to it!!
