I actually have a friend who worked on Rabbit Rampage as a sprite animator. She also did the main character animations for the Rocko's Modern Life SNES game and Beavis and Butt-Head: Virtual Stupidity. No, my story doesn't have a point; I'm just humble bragging. Good video, Stu!

Iconically, most of my experience with the snes speedy Gonzales game is in the form of a bootleg that replaced Speedy with Sonic saving Marios

Same here. Apparently, the Game Boy Speedy Gonzales game was also pirated into a bootleg Sonic game too.

(Not so) fun fact: that game was impossible to beat for quite some time back in the day on emulators. iirc the code did some weird stuff that relied (probably unintentionally) on quirks of the hardware, and emulators weren't accurate enough to run it correctly.

This was fantastic. I like how oldschool these videos feel. I used to watch a lot of game reviews like this in the early to mid 2010s, and this channel definitely does it in a way that isn't done much anymore. It's not afraid to be brutally honest, but it's not like "Arg I be constantly angry about video games." Like some channels ended up becoming. I like that there's a healthy mix of tones throughout the video. Keeps things from feeling too forced. I also like that Stew isn't afraid to unapologetically shill some hot fursonas here and there. These days everyone seems to be afraid to be vocal about their interests and hobbies, it's very refreshing to see that Stew isn't afraid to express his.

I appreciate the words man. Yeah I get a lot of inspiration from that "golden era" quote unquote of reviews in that time frame where people just said what they actually think and let THAT entertain people. I'm not a big time high budget reviewer and I don't try to be.

Also, on the subject of Carrot Crazy, the music for that game was made by a company called Bit Managers, and looking up that name, I realized it was founded by the legendary Alberto Gonzalez! That man composed _tons_ of great scores for Game Boy games- including Turok on the GBC, if I recall correctly- and he knew how to push the sound system to its limits.

1:07 Actually, the game with CG Animated Cutscenes that you were thinking about is a completely separate game on iOS called Scooby-Doo! & Looney Tunes Cartoon Universe: Arcade (made by WB Games Montreal, as opposed to the SDLTCU: Adventure game on 3DS and PC being made by WayForward and having the voice-acted visual novel cutscenes).

To open the door, you have start the game with the console upside down, then move the controller to the second port, then eject your memory card and remove the fan from the console and load up fortnite on it to cook and egg on it, over easy with pepper on top, and put it inside the console to be judged, if the game deems the egg worthy, the door will open. You have to read the environment 🙄

Scooby-Doo and Looney Tunes Cartoon Universe Adventure on 3DS & PC (the one made by WayForward) came out BEFORE Scooby-Doo! & Looney Tunes Cartoon Universe Arcade (the one with the CG cutscenes that was made by WB Games Montreal) on Mobile and not after.

Bolas are incan and I believe used in mexico and I'm pretty sure lassos are mexican, I think the atlatl was used in what is now mexico but that's A) a deep cut, B) way too violent, and C) not especially relevant to the specific time period that speedy gonzales is inspired by. At least 1 person uses a gun in a speedy gonzales cartoon, I think slowpoke jones or something. Also machetes are fairly commonly used in mexico and south america as both a weapon and a tool but probably not as much in Tijuana and also it would be a weird think to give to the funny rat considering I think he's a straight forward good guy In late 1800s to early 1900s mexico the main weapons would have been guns, knives and probably explosives, despite none of these things being from mexico. I'm not sure if speedy gonzales is actually set in the wild west but looney tunes is always somewhat anachronistic

From looking into it, Taz: Escape From Mars is a sequel to the self-titled MegaDrive/Genesis game, which doesn't surprise me, since that game is also pretty broken in places. I'm almost relieved that one didn't make the video, because there are some real moments of bullcrap in that game.

Sylvester & Tweety in Cagey Capers is a rather interesting game. It was going to have a Master System/Game Gear port but that never happened. It was gonna be VERY different from the Mega Drive game, only like what 2 screenshots remain of it? The game was apparently shown at Summer CES 1993 but still no video footage got discovered. And then Sylvester & Tweety were going to have a Super Nintendo game by Sunsoft but that got cancelled due to Sunsoft's American division closing down. Honestly, if it did get finished and came out, it would've been MILES better than Cagey Capers.

I just completed the self-title Looney tunes game The game boy color version on super game boy. The whole game was easy up until level five that took me about 2 hours to fully learn it to where I could actually beat dracula. Then the roadrunner levels even harder. That Wylie Coyote boss fight is nuts. Even running the gauntlet of the last five bosses and then fighting Elmer fudd didn't feel that difficult. That's pretty much how I beat Elmer fudd you basically have to like always like try to stay behind him and if you can yeah get him caught in a corner and then just start bouncing off his head because it takes a total of 16 hits to defeat him

Personally, I did own a copy of two Looney Tunes games throughout my life: Taz-Mania for the SNES and Duck Amuck for the Nintendo DS. As far as I know, the Taz-Mania SNES games is based on the TV cartoon of the same name. And yes, the Idea for the game is to catch a certain amount of Kiwis to satisfy the beast's hunger. Also, them trucks are not the only opposing obstacles one should worry about, as I've played through this game through until the very end.
