@D.W.Granata16 сағат бұрын
Considering they never had access to and/or couldn't afford the Max remasters, this KZbin channel had to dig up whatever print they could find for certain cartoons, this is why you see "Snowman's Land" in Turner's "Dubbed Version" print as it was also shown on "The Golden Age of Looney Tunes: Volume 5" on Laserdisc.

Once again surprised by Chuck Jones, the initial plot of this 1939 cartoon is very reminiscent of the later acclaimed Tex Avery's Northwest Hounded Police from 1946 by MGM, with perhaps less frenetic gags, but still very good and also starring Goofy (ah-yuck!) instead of Droopy. From the middle to the end, when Dirty Pierre appears, it starts to look a lot like Tex Avery's A Wild Hare, which debuted Bugs Bunny the following year; the screaming joke (YES!!!) is identical and the hunting formula makes an appearance, a great find from Warner cartoons.
@stephenholloway689319 сағат бұрын
So there's the restored version on KZbin yet Warner chose to upload the Turner print from 1995 instead?

@@fredramirez5197I assume it’s because the library Max has and the library that this channel pulls from are different. Those restorations were done by Max themselves I think. So WB television distribution arm I guess doesn’t have these in their library or just haven’t updated the library to include them. It’s like how the the library WB supplies Weigel doesn’t include the new restorations that were on two of the Tex Avery MGM sets or the Looney Tunes Collector’s Choice sets.
