I'm still peeved that animated shows like Simpsons, Family Guy, Bob's Burgers, and others don't get nominated, but animated films do. Given that the Golden Globes is for both TV and movies. Animated shows should get their own category.

I hope The Day The Earth Blew Up does great in theaters and gets the recognition it deserves. It should at least be nominated for an Annie. On a side note, I think you're doing like 90% of the marketing, as a high quality english trailer hasn't even officially been released yet. (There are multiple uploads on KZbin, but I doubt that they're actually licensed by the studio)

Now for a limited time, it may not make sense yet. But marketing should still start slowly, after all it's not long until February.

For Golden Globe standards, yeah. But I think The Wild Robot will win the Oscars. It's gonna be the 2015 awards all over again where a sequel won the Golden Globes but an "original" film won the Oscars. The Golden Globes and Oscars don't always need to share the same animated winners.

I never took any general movie awards nominees for animation, especially when Happy Feet won an award and the Satoshi Kon movie that would have been eligible for that year got completely ignored. Still, I'm very happy Stop Motion got 2 nods, especially Wallace and Gromit.

If it wasn't for the bizarre handling of the film's release, and of course if it were released nationwide in America sometime this year, then chances are "The Day The Earth Blew Up" might've been nominated for the Golden Globes. Still can't wait to see the film regardless. As for the nominees, while I've only seen half of them (The Wild Robot, Inside Out 2, Moana 2), the only one that I would take out is "Moana 2." While the film had some amusing moments, great animation and interesting ideas, it was too bloated in its story and hardly had enough time to explore its characters well. The fact that it was originally set up as a TV series didn't help matters. And even without the Looney Tunes film, I would've placed "Transformers One" as the sixth nominee since that movie did a great job with its storytelling and creativity with the visuals and transformers lore.

Um i am a bit confused to why Moana 2 is nominated, I have seen the Moana 2 movie and it gotta say in my personal opinion I enjoyed the film, i know some people don’t like the. Movie, but i still had a good time watching it. I don’t think speaking of the first Moana movie was ever nominated for any awards so why is this one nominated, i know Frozen got a lot of nominations and i think they won or like the composers of Frozen who work on the music got nominated for writing Let it go i think, i could be wrong on that. Although i am not sure if Frozen 2 ever got nominations ethier although the songs are definitely better than the first movie. The only issue that i have with Moana 2 is the music, it’s not the same like the first movie, as well all know Disney songs get stuck in your mind and are just so catchy so the music of Moana 2 wasn’t like the greatest i do like the beyond song, but the chee Choo song was a bit of a let down to be honest, so i am guessing they aren’t nominated for music cause the music is like not great, animation i am guessing but the fact that this originally used to be a series and got turned into a movie at the very last second, is an interesting play, so i am not sure why the second movie is nominated or anything like that so we will see, i don’t think they get win any awards or anything cause the first movie didn’t win anything or got nominated even though it was a beautiful film with the water effect, it’s not as popular or a juggerknot like frozen is. I was right about Looney Tunes not getting nominated or anything, but it is unfortunate that it got snubbed like Barbie did at the oscars kind of like that, or maybe there like the movie Hadsn’t come out yet worldwide or internationally yet, so maybe next year when the oscars are like in 2026 they could get something out it, but i think at this point it is too early to know if it is good or bad yet.

As mentioned in the vid, the movie is making a push for Academy Awards nomination this season by holding a limited run for a week in LA - technically confirming it a “2024 release.” Not to mention it’s already been open in Europe (and available digitally) for months now.

Do you think it's okay for golden globes to not take themselves so seriously, and be fun and nominate movies in "questionable" categories and not have a big voting body, like oscars have 7000+ voting members, golden globes have 330+ voting members both O and GG have their voters from countries around the world... critic choice awards are 450+ voters from critics and reviewers in united states and Canada, while screen actors guild awards are voting by the 150,000 members in the SAG-AFTRA union, but I don't know how many actual votes on them, but the "Oscars", "golden globes" "critic choice" and "screen actors guild" have one main purpose is to "honour and support and advert greatness in projects and people in the film (and TV) industry",

I believe the eligibility period for Robot Dreams was actually last year - it won a bunch of awards earlier this year and was nominated for the Academy Award. It did get snubbed at THIS year’s Globes, though!
