George Feltenstein of the Warner Archive and animation historian Jerry Beck join the podcast to discuss the LOONEY TUNES COLLECTOR’S CHOICE VOL 2 Blu-ray releasing on December 12th. We talk about the selection process for the 25 cartoons that have never before been on DVD or Blu-ray (with a few exceptions), the decision to arrange the cartoons alphabetically, and preview some of them to give you an idea of what you can expect. PLUS - George hints at plans for future volumes and what is needed to ensure they continue. If you’re a Looney Tunes or Warner Bros Animation fan, this is one episode you don’t want to miss!

At least WB is still releasing these. I wish Disney would release the classic shorts on blu ray. Yea I know they did a 2 vol set for the 100th but other then that its been crickets since the Disney treasures DVD tin releases.

I wish Disney would be doing this with their shorts. Sadly all we got from Disney is two small volumes for their 100th. I would love to see the compete Goofy on blu ray or the compele Donald. Sad we wont ever see it as I don't see Sony caring now that they have the rights sicne Disney is ditching physical. Sad man. Thank you WB archives for caring about these classic shorts.

For now it has only been released on some old VHS from the 80’s and 90’s

I hope one day they’ll release all thousand cartoons from the golden age of Looney Tunes. It’s pipe dream but I hope it happens

Kind of surprised they haven't yet. I mean make a box set with the entire collection and charge a premium for it since most will have never seen a physical release. I can see a set like that easily going for $500 if you include all the extra documentary's from past sets. I would go for it. I know it would take a lot of work but I think most collectors would jump at the chance even at that price to own them all.
