Thanks for putting these videos out. I was trying to decide between loopy and a boss RC and they are exactly what I needed to understand the workflow. Definitely decided to go with loopy. Great videos too, very impressive given you've only just started on youtube.

No worries! I’m enjoying making them, I do love the boss rc line it just depends on how complex you want to go with it all! And if you love messing with templates and stuff then it’s great! 👍

Another great Video Jack! Thanks. Not only do you give us the straight goods on the template build and parameters, but also a big thumbs up to the demos on how to use and how they sound of the add-in apps. A quick question: in which video do you explain the 'Scene' buttons? My style is a different than yours. I am not a lead guitarist by any definition. My solo performances are made up of Vocals and an acoustic guitar playing chords only. I will be using Loopy Pro to perform the intro loops for Drum percussion, a vocal mic for a harmonica intro and a harmonica solo, and another mic for Song vocals. I use a TC Helicon Play Acoustic as my Audio interface (loopy pro recognizes it easily). Looking into blue tooth foot pedals next.

Hey! I have yet to do a video on the setup of scenes this will be happening in my template build series. However I did do a scenes demo here kzbin.info/www/bejne/pKirnGSMf9B7aq8si=uHPdPoamYn_7-0Wp

How do you handle a song that doesn't have the same arrangement , chords repeating etc the same throughout the song? Could you do a video on that, please? Cheers
@jwskuse3 ай бұрын
A few ways to do this as far as I can see, but all have some kind of trade off or pre recording some parts. I do plan on a video for this at some point. :)

@@jwskuse If you could do a video that would be amazing! I know you can use the sequencer but wanted to try workout how to.do songs that are not the same chord structure in Loopy Pro without the sequencer. Cheers

Presumably you can also use your scene buttons to switch between verse, chorus and bridge or whatever? Maybe with a common set of clips for your drums?
@jwskuse3 ай бұрын
@@PiersCawley that’s right, I have the drums play over the whole thing and then use the scenes to trigger different sections

Amazing video, sounding ace! Do you preset the tempo of the track manually or is it set via Kola Sampler? I notice you press Scene 1, what is that for? Cheers
@jwskuse3 ай бұрын
Thanks mate, I have a tap tempo button on the left of the screen which I set up at the start of a track. I then have it set to record a 4 bar loop. I press scene to trigger all loops along that line with one button. So I can take a few elements out as I go and then bring all back in one go for say a chorus. Hope that helps

I have Loopy Pro, undoubtedly it’s a great app and incredibly versatile, BUT... but, but, but…. every video tutorial I’ve seen shows people doing the same thing, namely putting down say, a four chord sequence and then layering over it with other instruments, effects etc. and then showing people how it’s done. Which is fine, but I’ve yet to see anyone doing anything even as basic as a verse / chorus arrangement or adding a B section, for example. I’m sure it’s doable in Loopy but nobody seems to be doing it. Yet there seem to be plenty of musicians using Loopy for live solo gigs, surely they aren’t all limiting themselves to 4 chord songs all evening? Bloody tedious if they are! 😂😂
@jwskuseАй бұрын
To be honest you are right, I think looping multiple A/B/C sections on any loop system is a real challenge and takes lots of thought 💭, pre planning and practice. Hence why most of these tutorials that showcase a single feature will just quickly chuck a simple chord progression down for the demonstration. Whilst I don’t claim to be amazing at it yet and I am still learning, you may find this video useful where I attempt to cover the topic mentioned :- kzbin.info/www/bejne/m4CuqHqrmptssK8si=9R5hpPKS1Mllt9Ai however I think a real band or intimate setting with just an acoustic guitar may be the most versatile setup for gigs. I’m not sure if I will use loopy pro extensively live however I have done 20/30 gigs with it and enjoyed it as a one man solution. Thanks for checking out the video and all the best! Jack
