No trouble the tutes are good. The UK guy his are very easy to follow. He doesn’t leave much out and just to say that group of introductory vids is actually really well done, thorough and not over our heads at all. I do think 7 days is not long enough for the trial. Probably 14 days is preferable. Pay check come in fortnightly and 7 days is not long enough to compare with other daws, production apps and looping methods and all.

Hahahaha I spent yesterday coding a Mozaic controller precisely to handle control profiles on an “M-Wave SMK-25” which has 8 endless encoders: The Controller is kinda buggy but once I ironed out the issues I was so happy to be able to control 16 knobs (it has 2 knob banks) times 16 channels (switching channels by tapping one of the 8 pads (two pad banks too) which would indicate which of the 16 midi channels to send the midi through), without having jumps when switching profiles and tweaking knobs on different instruments. However, it seems that with “multiple control profiles” inside of Loopy PRO, this could have been handled without even coding a single line 🤣? At least that’s what my first impression after watching your video and my limited knowledge of Loopy PRO indicates to me. Man did you put in some work on all of these updates huh? Very excited to check out what you’ve got in store for us! Can’t wait to actually have the time to play with it - been busy for ages but hopefully that’ll change soon . Congrats on the release of 1.1!

Just got loopy pro. Mainly for guitar looping. I used Ableton before but I have to say just a couple of hours in Loops Pro is so much more intuitive and customisable than Ableton. I can't believe you still can't overdub an audio clip in Ableton. It is so easy to do this in loopy pro. Also with Auv3 support I can also use my launchpad to add some synth elements and a bit of finger drumming. Can't wait for midi donuts, I know you are working on that. I can't believe a product of this quality is made by a single person. Michael Tyson you are genius. Thankyou

Hey, great app, took me couple years to actually try it, but now I'm on love. So the thing is, I have a 80's cover band in witch I'll introduce some looping (I play keyboard and bass for this gig), but one thing I think I missed (or it isn't really a way to do this) is about the auv3 channels and the loop recording. As we can bind any channel to only output to a certain color, it'd be nice to have an option to automatically only play that channel when recording the loop color binded to it, so we don't need to keep track of mutting, unmutting the tracks (for clarifying, I use 1 midi keyboard but often have to use 3 or more auv3 instruments, so even splitting sometimes does not do de trick, as I have to assign all of them to the same keyboard). TLDR; It'd be nice if we could bind the loop/color to certain auv3 instruments in a way that it will only receive midi data, or output monitoring sound if that clip is being recorded, for live performances. Thanks for the good work, I'm a little stubborn and apps are kind of precey here in Brazil, so I've tryed every other looper and got only frustration, should've ben using LP a long time ago hehehe.

Congratulations great man, you've made the very best app. DAW for all musicians. It's stunning Good ! 👍🏼✌🏼🌈 My first Jam was with Stewart Copeland inside the Reggae Drummer app. with Inter-App Audio used as an Insert of an Input Channel. This drummer generates new fills all the time at any given 4-8-12-16 bars, and you can easily tell the drummer how busy the fills should be and with the most beatiful Dub delays and Hall effect please on the fills only. Yes, don't record the Drummer, 'cause it has midi clock sync and since it generates new fills all the time, you just don't want to record it, which you can if you like. I should mention that when you don't play for 5 or 10 minutes, the drummer falls asleep and you have to wake him. You do that by pressing the play button and stop button once in the Reggea Drummer app, after that you can press the Loopy Pro play button again and it wil sync nicely. Thanks, I'm gone with this

I find that the loopy HD app has interfered with Loopy pro and now I have a problem where pro thinks I need track 1 from loopy HD. I removed the loopy HD app but pro still has a warning indicator over track 1 and wants to find HD? Any ideas?

Hello, I am having trouble with MIDI mapping in loopy pro, here’s the problem : when I map multiple pages of control surfaces to a MIDI controller for instance, if I map slide 1 in page A to cc 1, then it automatically map to the first side or Dial in every pages, is there any settings I can do? I tried to rename the sliders and dials but it will still be detect as it’s original order. I am so grateful of having developers like you, loopy pro is a great app.

In short: You're looking for the "Load Project" action, which can step through projects seamlessly, with crossfades/etc. Incidentally, there's not a free 'version' of LP per se, but a 7-day free trial (which is just like the full app, but time-limited).

Hey, thanks for an awesome app. I just purchased it, and was hoping to use it as my primary creation station. However, I use MIDI apps, like KB-1 and Xequence; when I connect these to an Audio Unit Input, often at first keypress and also at random times. It’s like the MIDI that gets sent to the app is hammered down (velocity 127). Especially with Xequence Keys this becomes obvious since it has great velocity settings. I am wondering if this is a bug or a setting. It unfortunately makes the app hard to use for live improv and performance, with apps (which is what I use). Hoping it‘s my own newbie user fault :) Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks.

I find that the software sucks it crashes and stops using in app plug ins. I have experienced using amplitude and other programs and they will just stop working. The idea of loopy pro is a great idea but it’s pretty buggy.

I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble. There is currently an iOS bug (since iOS 11, I believe) which causes AUv3 hosts to crash sometimes when an AUv3 crashes. I've been working with Apple engineers to help them find and fix the issue, which we've succeeded on a few weeks ago; the fix will be in an upcoming iOS version. Until then, I suggest you gather crash logs for the AUv3s which are crashing, and pass them onto the developers to fix. If you need help with that, you can reach out to me.

Incredible. So versatile. Here's an unusual question. Let's say I wanted to load individual tracks from my DAW. For example guitar, bass, drums. A full song say. Now I want control over each track to apply effects and then automatically assign the effects to play when I want them to. In essence, can I build a set list using Loopy Pro as the player. Simply loading each song as a session, saving it and then perform with live guitar and vocal for a gig. I know this not actually using the Loopy Pro as a looper, in this setup, but is it possible I'm wondering. I see this tool for me as a great way to practice looping and as a writing tool but as I am not a big looper yet I wondered how else I could use it. In essence using it like a helicon VL3 extreme to automatically initiate effects within a background track format

Thanks! Yeah, if I understand you right, LP works very well for that. This is how Dub Fx runs most of his shows, for example. I will say that if you plan to use automation for the effects, that’s one place where LP is still incomplete; automations are coming, but they’re not done yet

Love the app soooo much! Question how do you program an immediate stop on a midi pedal. I know is a double tap on the loop screen. I don’t see any gestures for an immediate stop on a midi learn. The first loop always finishes no matter when I stop it on the pedal. Help please🙏🙏

I've been trying to have a drum loop loaded that will stretch itself to match a melody that I loop after the fact. In other words, the melody I loop live should be the master loop, and I want the drum loop I already have loaded to match the natural tempo I form after recording the melody/guitar loop. Yep! Just reset the clock tempo after you’ve imported your drum loop. The next loop that you record will set the tempo.

@@ATastyPixel ... It is such a fantastic App and fills a much needed niche, especially for computers. Although I have Logic Pro on both my computer and my iPad ... they don't even begin to touch the ease and functionality of Loopy's loop functions. I want to be able to use Loopy Pro on my Mac so that I can use it with my Seaboard Rise using the full MPE Equator 2 instruments (that are only available for computers, not available for iPads). I love Loopy Pro and think there should be a lot more videos. Although I saw some tutorial KZbin videos directly after it was released ... they are becoming sparse and a lot of users like myself like to have a continual source of training tips and inspiration :-)

Hi Michael, I’m guitarist / composer, I makes some research initially for a regular looper and found information about loopy pro, so instead of buying a regular looper, I buyed an Arturia Minifuse 4 for my IPad in order to give it a try.
