I think the dress would look better in a heavier fabric with a sweater and boots! As you say the chiffon one may look better in the summer. Perhaps you could shorten it to a top and wear with a nude or blue cami as a more dressy item. I really love the blouse you are wearing- it really suits you and your very distinctive style but my goodness what a trying sew! We all have thise❤️ I may give this a go - it seems to be a lovely sew x

I’ve had the pattern for the Rosco for many months and finally printed it out yesterday. Today I’m going to make a start on it. I’ve made a few tops very similar to the Rosco , so hopefully this will be easy enough...I hope 😬 I’ve not made many garments, still quite the beginner, but you’ve inspired me to get cracking. Love your Rosco makes. Thank you 🌺

I thought immediately that Mabel was wearing a lovely nightgown. But the Roscoe tops are really nice.

I thought that it was Mabel’s nightie too. At least you had a go with working with sheer fabrics xx

I too thought Mabel was wearing a nightgown, however try putting a belt with it. Maybe layer with some white tights and cami/tank underneath and a skinny white belt. Maybe not all is lost. I love the Rosco blouse it is totally my style and will be buying the pattern. Thank you

Hello, I love your channel and will be watching all of your videos. Hi have wanted to get this pattern but it is nowhere near large enough for me. I will be looking for information to make it larger. Your tops and dress are beautiful, and you are so pretty and sweet. ❤

I think your ‘night it’ can be saved. You could cut it off for a blouse. You could belt it, loosely on the lower waist. You could layer it with a louder print than you’d like and put this over it. You could remove or shorten the sleeves so the underdress is more visible. You could make a skirt. Hope this gets you thinking outside the box. I’ve got a surprise sewing result myself, so I’m thinking outside that box myself!

Hi Jayne .... I was thinking you’d made a nightie too. Could you not shorten it to blouse length and wear a camisole/vest underneath? At least you’ve added another skill to you’re sewing arsenal. What a serendipitous Roscoe blouse, it looks amazing. 🦋

Thanks Sarah ... I was thinking of shortening it like you said ..... it would make a lovely evening going out top .... just need to find a camisole to go underneath but I will keep you posted 😘

Well done sewing chiffon! I think that sheer material would make a nice jacket/cardigan. I could see it cut off to hip length or waist length, with the tie neck and just separated down the front to make two front parts but if the colour isn't you anyway, is it worth it? Couldn't you just cut it down to a Roscoe blouse and wear it with a white camisole or vest underneath and jeans?

Hi Sandra yes that’s a good idea as I know it’s just not going to get worn as it is ... but at least I can add chiffon to my sewing repertoire now lol 😘

Yes it looks like a nighty but having said that it’s well made. Perhaps had it been in another colour it might have worked better.😊

Love your videos and really like the Rosco top but I think that it will always look like a nighty when made into a dress, sorry. Thanks for doing these videos.

Christine you are so right, some designs are just not meant for everyone are they but at least I know it's not my thing now! Jayne x
