I have a question that's a bit perplexing... I have been looking into my family lineage and found Scottish roots coming from strathclyde and Cumberland area, my family name is fair/phare/fayre... in the doomsday book and associated with the Ross clann... The other half of my family is from Cornwall , where according to historic records some of my kin moved down from in the 12th century, and still live in that area today. I live in Australia and have been made an honorary member of the clann McLean, who are lifelong friends of our family... I would love to claim a tartan, something that has relevance and not just generic, but I don't really know where to begin, I've done some research and been on some tartan pages, but they are not only difficult to fathom but hard to navigate as well... If you guys have any clues, I would love to get a kilt from you. I'm attending a Celtic festival here the biggest one in Australia in April, following a incident I had of a spiritual nature with a circle of standing stones when I was in Cornwall visiting, this particular festival happens to be at a place called the standing stones which is the only time I've heard of it in this country... I would love a kilt for that event if you think it's reasonable. Kind regards Dave
