Re the hugs. Just remember, scientific papers aren't always right. People make mistakes and assumptions. Look how our scientific understanding has altered even in the past 50 years. On this hug issue, I would suggest more research is necessary before taking this paper as 'gospel'

The studies Loose Women and similar use are unlikely to be "scientific papers". Loose Women uses random websites, surveys and blog posts for discussion, just like Daily Mail started an outrage campaign of 👍emjoi based one person's (!) reddit post. Media loves creating outrage. It's wrong to criticize "scientific papers" based on a Loose Women discussion. Secondly, scientific papers are based on the method, assumptions used to conduct the research. To say "they're not always right" is a misnomer. When new information comes, the science changes. It's always adapting to new information and change. "People make mistakes" is a sweeping generalization. There's varying quality of papers - the high quality, thoroughly analyzed and reviewed and scrutinized vs low quality ones, or ones with an agenda, like the "researcher" that created a lie that vaccines cause autism

Have you watched loose women for a long time? Just wondered if you’d seen a difference in Carol over years? I used to find Carol quite liberal, open minded….and liked her. but in recent years and particularly with covid I’ve found her insufferable and like you say “ill informed” massively ignorant and almost bigoted.
