When you eventually do the beginner clue grind, may I suggest you set up a cannon at the crossroads in lumby, just outside the al kharid gate. You get both beginner and easy clues and can kill SO MANY goblins in a short period of time. Load up the cannon and go near the hut where the cannon can't reach to kill the others with a blowpipe. 20xp means you killed it so you can just go bang bang bang. Also stacking them on the ground on the bridge between the goblins and lumbridge castle is a decent place to pick them back up when you actually do the clues themselves. If there's a better way, forgive me, but it worked perfectly for me.

yeah obor is definitely a lot stronger for free players, 28 max hit and switching between two combat styles can be nasty for less experienced people with f2p gear and lvls. had fun with this one :)
