tried these out on my main bc I want jaw for pvm (and maybe a second one for money) but MAN they are really afk, at least with ranged. been ranging em bc I have lower range and need the xp but I literally don't need any food, just range pots and plots, and I'm good for the rest of the trip as long as I don't run out of invy space. highly recommend unlocking these :O

4:07 removing the shield while in combat with them drains ur stats even between attacks, so you cant switch to sgs/defender etc. likewise with range safespotting, u still MUST wear the shield.

Having to constantly flick 100% perfectly just isn't realistic & having to pot a lot more from misflicks just isn't viable as it will probably outweigh the slight dps increase from a 2H weapon & your regular loot profit would drop significantly.

Did my first ever slayer task of these last night and got the jaw on 48kc :), also got jar of dirt (1/1k) and pet (1/3k) from kraken the task right before that. Was a good night for sure. :)

Lucky enough to get 4 basilisk tasks, each over 200 knights. No jaw. This seems to be the case for most players, though. I'm guessing the Jaw drop rate is anywhere from 1 in 500 to 1 in 2000 (on task).

I don't think the update sucks but I think they made basilisk knights dead content once you get your face guard. They have stats comparable to demonic gorillas. They hit hard, have an annoying special, they take a while to kill, and have a shitty drop table. For a normal account I don't see there being all that much of a reason to do then for slayer, for ironman they will just be a giant hurdle to get the face guard then again dead content. Either they need to undo the buff or give a serious buff to the drop table. Im very disappointed in them.

This update just felt like Jagex's excuse to indirectly nerf the Serp helm after buffing it by introducing a better strength bonus helm from another source. 5/10, pretty meh. I remember when they first teased the master level Freminnik quest on a live stream. This definitely did not live up to that hype from... Man, what was it? 2 maybe 2.5 years ago?
