I met the Rare Edition rep at their table at the Burbank card show a few weekends ago. When I say these slabs are high quality, they are HIGH QUALITY. So pumped to send a few cards to them. You get what you pay for and I think they’re worth it. Yeah they’re a little pricey but look at what you get. The best slab on the market and super detailed info on the imperfections simply by scanning the we code. They nailed it.

I think the future of grading will be simply authentication. With the inconsistencies from grading company to company and even within each company I think people will just turn to getting their cards authenticated and encapsulated and won’t want the grades anymore. You can then use your eyes to tell you which cards look best, what a novel idea

Sadly, PSA isn't getting surpassed. People may have preferences, but PSA will always bring the highest dollar...outside of black labels of course.

In think everyone has those PC cards that are special to them that they don't care about the grade because they will NEVER sell it.

The packaging and everything is very sleek and cool but completely unnecessary. This cost doesn't get eaten by the company it gets passed on to the customer. Packaging would be a cool option for higher end stuff but I am sure if customers were presented with the option of the packaging or saving a couple bucks per submission, they would save money. There is already enough waste produced by Topps and Panini, we don't really need it here as well.

Packaging is over the top, cases are clear but bulky, and the grading is wildly overpriced. In grading terms. This company is a 7.5. Pricing 7.0, Slabs 8.5, Turnaround Time 7.5, and notoriety 7.5. ✌

All the additional packaging is ridiculous, such an inefficient/wasteful design. Imagine if you sent a 50 card order the amount of trash you will end up with. It's packaged like a hobby box

I was thinking the same. The cards look amazing encased but the plastic is unnecessary. A simple foam insert inside the box would suffice.

Been wanting to try Rare out since seen the slab & use gorilla glass just way too pricey for cheap folk like myself. Probably my favorite slab overall followed by CSG amazing plastic, SGC tuxedo, BGS chunky boy, & PSA rounding it out just ahead of GMA & HGA... That's just eye appeal & quality of the slabs not resale values obviously

the look of the slabs are meh, but why so much garbage, like indavidualy boxed then wrapped up in a pack like such waste, RE & Tag looks a lot a like with why it got the grade and shows you where with the QR code, but I think Tag slabs look better. but I like SGCs new slabs for my PC and cards I'm gonna sell is PSA.

@@hellocollegejason198 yepp. them and I believe TAG have full reports on the AI graded cards if you type in the authentication # or scan the QR code. It's really what the hobby should be at this point. PSA is entirely too subjective for people to put this big premium on them.
