What would be a better number is what is the value ungraded of all the cards, then add the grading cost. Then compare that to graded value. 14K doesnt mean anything if the initial ungraded value was 13K. OR when you show the value of a single card, show the increase/decrease in value based vs an ungraded.

It would be cool if you estimated the values pre-grading in raw condition (and graded based on your predicted grades less the grading fees). Then you would have a baseline to see where it was worth sending the cards in. Then you would be able to estimate values of the actual graded cards, less grading fees.

I suggest being a bit more discerning on what you send for grading. I even disagree that ALL gold cards should be graded. If you're confident in them scoring 9s or 10s then grade them. Or if they're nearing the $500 threshold consider doing it before grading it on a future date becomes more costly. All that money spent on grading could have bought you dozens and dozens and dozens of up & coming rookies that could mature tenfold. You guys should each do a show where one buys a box and the other invests the same amount of money in singles and then lock them up for 5yrs and see whose purchase made greater gains! 🤔

Is it normal for Pokémon cards to be rough grading?? Don't kniw too much about them. Think I may have 1 from the original set. Was a gift from my lil nephew years ago. He wanted to share. He had it sleeved/top loaded & hasnt been touched since. Probably nit a big card but sentimental either way.
