Lopamudra, a high-minded Rishika of her times, was the daughter of the King of Vidharbha. She was the creation of Rishi Agastya, who also happened to be her husband. Having faced ignore and neglect from his husband who was immersed in penances, rites, rituals and customs, Lopamudra empathises with the fate of several other women who too crave for their husband's attention and fulfilment of their sexual desires.
Watch this video to find out how Lopamudra questions the ongoing neglect meted out to women at large, and how she succeeds in bringing about a change in Rishi Agastya's mindset and eventually convinces him to sexually unite with him.

I'm from Kodag in Karnataka...birthplace of Mother Kaveri. She is known to have taken the form of Water as per the Divine Mother's promise to people of the south to come as Ganga of the South. Thank you for enlightening me that Mother Kaveri and Lopamudra are different....Maharishi Agastya married Kavera Muni's daughter Kaveri. I would be most obliged if you could shed light on this because many people seem to think that Lopamudra and Kaveri are referred to as the same person.
