A road trip to Lopinot, Trinidad, in the Caribbean island of Trinidad which makes up part of the country Trinidad and Tobago. Lopinot has a colorful and sometimes dark history but one thing is for sure the surroundings are breathtaking. In this video, we will start just off the highway, on to Golden Grove Rd, then to the Eastern Main Rd, Arouca and up Lopinot Road. The perspective I offer will make you feel as though you are there with me, in my truck checking everything out. However, that is not all, we will visit the estate of the historic figure for whom Lopinot has been made. Locals say that ghosts roam the area. Will we see any? Set in FULL HD, with world music, maps and historic facts and commentary - there is lots to enjoy.
You will interesting things if you skip around, but if you want to get to the highlights then check the key:
0:00:00 - Start
0:04:56 - Turning on to Lopinot Road
0:37:08 - Exploring Lopinot Historical Complex
0:51:45 - Going to the river
1:20:30 - Cocoa growing
1:25:20 - How do I turn around?

Did any of you see ghosts, feel enchanted or as though someone whispered in your ear while visiting Lopinot? When last were you there?

WOW!! Absolutely beautiful!! Watched this video on TV here in TO and we felt like we were there in person. You've captured everything from earth to sky, and everything in between. Saw so much more than we last did in 1983. Delightful music; and the road turn-around was absolutely perfect. AAH!! Such lovely memories!! Thank you, and God bless you for bringing us such meaningful memories.

I'm shocked 😲to see such a beautiful place left to become a ruined, 20 plus years ago I went there and it was so special, now to see it in such a deplorable manner is really sad. But the whole villages/ environment has developed so beautiful its nice to see, thanks for taking the time to carry us there through your lens. Blessings

JB nice videos. I like to watch them . And it been a long while since I been home . But it crazy to see how very similar Trinidad and Tobago is to Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia. Vietnam and most of south Asia. Same roads , houses , agriculture and custom. Most of these countries live boosting bamboo . That is the missing link to being a Trini in south Asia .
@JBsManCave
@JBsManCave Жыл бұрын
Adesh, yes, you often mention the similarities. Hopefully they do not throw trash everywhere like they do here. May I ask what you are doing in Asia now?

The video is very long, so I have to watch a little at a time. As a result, you may see a few comments from me. It is a shame that things in the park are left to deteriorate. Another thing I noticed is that front yards are not taken care of very well. It would make the place look so much better if they took care of the landscaping. Thanks so far, I will continue looking.

JB one thing I noticed in your videos. Every small town you venture into there is no local food court or restaurant for traveling people. The bigger towns have these fast food chain restaurants .that serve commercial food . I only see doubles stand and very few places

Adesh, this area is remote. There are areas like that i just do not highlight them in my videos because it is not about food but the beauty of the country.

JB my sister and I are now enjoying this video, we want to recommend that you leave the information boxes a little lo get on the screen so that we can get the history of the place you are visiting. Sometimes it moves too quickly and we haven't finished reading the information.😀

Michelle, thanks for taking the time to recommend. What you can do is hit the pause on the video when you see the info box come up. In that way, you can take your time to read it and then unpause to continue the video. Please let me know if that works for you.

@@JBsManCave Its hard to hit the pause when it's more than one person watching in different countries at the same time. Then you lost track of where the other person is in the video.
@JBsManCave
@JBsManCave Жыл бұрын
Michelle, thanks for explaining. I understand. There are pros and cons to keeping text boxes longer. For instance, while you may get more reading time it is also blocking the view for other people that are not interested in text boxes or who may read faster. To remain in sync if you and your sister are watching together just keep track of the timeline. After pausing you can always tell your sister where you are at in the video.

I have been following a few African KZbinrs and a lot of their roads are not paved. Trinidadians have no idea how lucky they are to have such good roads even in those remote mountain areas. When you stopped and talked about the road lacking barriers, why don't the people who have to use the road to commute daily don't have discussions with the councillor and MP to get barriers built for their safety. It is time for people to get more involved in getting certain things done and not sit and wait for them to be done. Politicians need to look at all these things when they are in office. Thanks for the video.

Islandgirl, thanks for your input. However, you said, "Trinidadians have no idea how lucky they are to have such good roads..." and "people who have to use the road to commute daily don't have discussions with the councillor and MP to get barriers built for their safety" I recommend not making those statements 'out loud' because you will be the subject of ridicule for those whose vehicles have been destroyed and killed, yes killed, because of the treacherous roads here. Maybe you need to watch more of my videos about issues in this country which are not reflected in road trips: kzbin.info/www/bejne/q6vIY4CmZpt1b5I
