Travel to Oman
We had a nice sunset and an impressive sunrise. Silence and peace. But the first night spent in the tent was not the most comfortable. There was such a strong wind and I thought we were going to fly off and fall into the sea. 😊 Imagination doesn't always help.
The morning was quiet and peaceful and after breakfast we went to Wadi Shab - the most visited wadi here in Oman. Initially, it takes about 45 minutes to reach the first natural pool. From there you can only go by water. The last place we reached is a deep pool with rocks overhanging it. There are underwater caves and a small waterfall. Several more terraces follow. Just as we were leaving we were "flooded" with tourists and we had to wait for about 10 minutes attached to a rock to be able to pass the incoming group.
It is definitely good to come here early. The place is about 2 hours drive from Muscat and many groups come here on a day trip.
After the big splash in the water we headed to the Wahiba Sands desert. The distance is not short and we are quite tired. We were there at sunset. Literally 2 hours before we got to it, we decided to spend the night in a desert glamping, not in our tent.
We lost our way and had to enter the desert in the dark. It was not particularly easy to orientate, but the people from the campsite experienced a person not to meet in the last 5 km.
And so we finally arrived.
Stay tuned for the sequel.
I'm Laura. Have a nice trip! 😊
